Our Hotpoint Dishwasher Model HDA200X-73BA has two little white plastic pipe stubs poking out of the bottom of the dishwasher. During one of the cycles--(I don't think it is the drain cycle)-- some water is being released from one of these pipe stubs and then it stops and the other one runs some water. They each only run for a few seconds, but the water is just running on the floor. These little pipe stubs are about one half inch in diameter and project out of the bottom of the dishwasher about

Kenmore Elite: - Stale smell from dishwasher, won't go away, lingers on dishes, glasses. I tried a vinegar remedy suggested by a diy site - it helps for a cycle or two, but the smell comes right back. Diy site suggested taking apart the dishwasher to see if there is food trapped: there always remains a little water at the end of each cycle - but I'm concerned about taking apart my dishwasher if there is another solution. Smell doesn't smell of food to me. What do you think? Hollie Smith

When we do not use the dishwasher for a week or more water seems to back up into the tub. The water has a foul smell to it and can be as much as an inch or so deep. The dishwasher drain hose is attached to an insinkerator disposal. By the way this dishwasher is only a couple of months old and we have had to have it serviced three times. No one has been able to explain the water accumulation and it can not be demonstrated unless the washer sits unused for a while.

My portable dishwasher hose that attaches to the faucet is to short for where I want my portable dishwasher to sit. I would like for it to sit in one spot. I am not allowed to alter or cut holes in the side of cabinets, I am renting. Is there an extension for the hose to the faucet? If not, what can I do to make the hose longer? If I really have to I will cut the two hoses that comes from the dishwasher to the faucet, but I would rather have an extension first.

You should be able to find extension or replacement hoses that you can use to extend the existing hoses at a hardware store. If you need to join two hoses that have female connectors, adaptors with two male connections are available. ... Dishwashers

The top level is not getting clean. We think the passage to the top water jet is clogged. There are two holes in the back that the washing arm fits into, depending on what level the top rack is set at, and one of them is stuck open. We have not been happy with this dishwasher from the start and are trying to decide if we should get it fixed or just buy a new one.

Sometimes it is not worth the headache.dishwashers are a dime a dozen,if you want to happy, just replace it,most dishwashers are unrepairable.no matter what the maytag man says. ... Dishwashers

The upper spray arm on our dishwasher has become detached from the back of the machine, and there is no obvious means of reattaching it. Are there some clips perhaps that have snapped on the part which attaches to the back wall of the d/washer (part number PP-TD20 - it's a 4 by 1 1/2 inch long rectangular shape with rounded ends) or does this piece somehow need to be taken apart (how - i can't see how i might do this?) and the transparent 2nd layer underneath get attached first? Thanks, Sarah.

New SHE4AM16UC, professionally installed eight months ago. Worked fine with very light usage until now. I have a MDB6759AWS3 that is one year and two months old. This morning I went to the control panel to press the buttons and some would light up and others would not. Just turned the dishwasher on at the wall and tap after it's been sat off for a day. It's done one cycle (eco) and now doesn't seem to be doing anything but flashing. The two lights flashing are the power and eco lights. I have tried turning it off on the console but it turns itself back on and continues flashing. It sounds like it's whirring but I can't hear water. It did have a small leak when we first plumbed it in if that makes any difference?

Each time I try to use the hose that comes with the machine it snaps in two and breaks. I have tried to look for a replacement hose that would stand up to the abuse but all I can find is the original. Is there a replacement I can get that is more flexible than the one that comes with it? At this point I am rather embarrased about going back to Home Depot

We live in an apartment and our hot point dishwashers timing is all off and i thought if i could fix it myself, i'd love to do that instead of calling our manager, i will call him, but if its an easy fix i'd like to try it out.. it will just stop in mid cycle, and you have to manually more it a fraction of an inch to get it restarted, then at the end it doesnt fully drain, and the drying takes forever, so if i cant fix it, i'll ask for a new one..

It might need a new mechanical timer (sounds like the timer is sticking) installed and the parts will cost money... so you might want to go the route of the manager. The dial that you turn to set the dishwasher is part of the mechanical timer. Someti ... Dishwashers

There are two hoses coming from my Bosch SHE45M06UC dishwasher. One is obviously the drain coming from the back of the unit, and the other is attached to the side looped and not connected to anything. I went online to the Bosch website for a installation manual and it describes this hose as a air venting hose. Does the end attach anywhere or does it just hang loose on the unit. My husband detached it from its original position and thought it was part of the water line. HELP!

Glasses int he top rack of my kitchenaid dishwasher don;t get clean. they finish the run spotted and covered in what looks like baked on dirty dishwater. dishes in the lower rack look ok, but the silverware is always dirty, too. i figure it's one of two things - either the top sprayer isn't working, or the machines doesn't drain the dirty water well enough. or maybe it's something else - cycle regulator? the machine is about 4 years old. thanks

I have a kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher, Model 15825691. We were recently hit by lighting. Once hit, the dishwasher started up.
