GE Nautilus detergent cap will not open

\015 GE Nautilus dishwasher detergent cap will not open\015

Answers :

Sometimes these get gunked up and need to be coaxed....so take a butter knife...insert it in the edge of the dispenser tray...pry gently...all the while turning the timer control knob...it should pop open at one point if not try a little more pressure...and once open .clean thoroughly..if it persists you may have a timer or control panel issue...also use factory recommended soaps...

I hope this helps...Good Luck and Good day....thank you for rating my effort.....The Fang.

I have a Fisher and Paykel Nautilus DW920 dishwasher. However, the door to the detergent dispenser does not open reliably every load -- usually I have to open the dishwasher door about 20 minutes into the load and open the soap dispenser myself. The catch on the dispenser will have released, but the dispenser door will not have sprung open. I am not sure exactly what the problem is -- the soap dispenser door simply seems a bit stiff in its holster. Given a little nudge, it springs open fine. I h

I have a frigidaire FDB1050REC0 dishwasher that is working fine most of the time. Sometimes about 40 percent of the time, when we open the main door after it is finished with a normal cycle, we find a big clump of detergent left in the main detergent compartment and the detergent door is open. It is like the detergent is getting wet with the detergent door closed and then when it is supposed to open, the detergent is wet and clumps. We have the same problem. At first, we were getting a horrible detergent film on everything. We thought that was because the detergent cup wasn't opening or the water was too hard or not hot enough. We kicked up the rinse agent as high as possible, switched to a liquid detergent, and only placed shorter items towards the door. The cup still wouldn't open consistently and our dishes still needed to be re-cleaned. We stopped closing the cup. No change. Why would liquid detergent leave a powder fil

Since purchasing my dishwasher last year I've constantly had intermittent problems regarding the detergent dispenser. It often does not open and therefore does not release the detergent into the wash...the detergent gets damp inside the dispenser and sticks....it often tumbles out when I open the dishwasher door at the end of the cycle.

I would replace the control board. Since the problem is intermittent this would indicate that the controller is not consistently sending voltage to the dispenser to open. ... Whirlpool GU2300XTSS Stainless Steel 24 in Builtin Dishwasher

The dishwasher detergent is not dissolving. There is rinse aid in the dispenser - sometimes the door opens and the detergent comes out and sometimes it doesn't. If the detergent does come out then it is just sitting in the rack - should it drop to the bottom of the dishwasher? I have checked the door cleaned out around it to make sure the hook and release are working. I opened the door and the water is hot.

My soap cap remains in the closed position at all times. The clasp mechanism works fine, if I cycle through with the door open I can see and hear the catch release when it should. But the door remains closed at all times. I leave it open to run, and sometimes it's closed when the wash cycle finishes! Is there an easy way to take the cap off and clean it? Or do I need to WD-40 around it?

I clean this out everytime. I haven't changed anything and am wondering why, all of a sudden, it stopped working. I've had this less than a year. Thanks.
