I have a Tappan Dish washer, model TDB21ORFS5. There is a strainer in the bottom and I would like to clean it. We are getting some very small particules of food left on our top rack inside of large cups and glasses. The strainer has a "peg" and it can be turned, but I wanted not to breck anything. The inside of the door it says it was built by electrolux.

I have a three year old Whirlpool Dishwasher DU1148XTP which is making a load flickering noise when it release the soap during the wash cycle. I removed the front panel and looks like it small solinoid that had a part number 91127.00.1404504 120V 60Hz making all the racket. So my question is could it be as simple as just replacing this part or is there more to this problem?

PDW9280J10SS dishwasher has been in use for about 3 years. The control panel is not working properly. I use the up/down arrows and it turns on heated dry etc. When I push the heated dry button, it changes the lights to the different cycles (which is what the arrow keys used to do). The normal wash light won't come on, the only setting that seems to wash a full cylce is antibacterial. It seems like something burned out. What should I be looking at as a possible cause/fix. Unfortunately, I don't h

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher SHU43C02uc/22 about 4 years ago. Recently during the last 2 washes, the machine has been giving off a smell like hot rubber during the wash cycle. It otherwise runs perfectly (dishes are clean, drains okay, etc). I have done just the routine maintenance like checking for large pieces of food but have found nothing so far. Any suggestions as to where I should look for where the smell might be coming from?

My dishwasher filter keeps getting plug up with large food particles. I take it apart and clean the screen. It works for a 2-3 -4 weeks before I have to do it again. There is a spinning fan on the screen. I'm wondering if this scrapper fan is working at all. If it was I think it would keep the small screen free from particles. The first thing that happens is the top cleaning arm stops working.' Thanks
Hi Judy. The only way to know for sure is to power up the fan independent of the machine and see if it still works. In the meantime, rinse and remove all debris from the dishes prior to placing them in the machine, including pots and pans. ... KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI01FLSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

What looks like a pan with handle or maybe something being poured into it? How do I use the button 3 in 1 as compared or in combination with other programs? What does a failed pressure switch look like? I have removed my pressure switch (part 8071024). It is clean without apparent damage. The point at which the small, black hose connects has a plastic "button" inside, which appears as if it should move but it does not move at all. Is it seized? I think my issue is very similar to issue "Dishwasher Flooding Out" article on your site from (Oct 2007). This is a very helpful site, and thank you for any input on this question.

Black residue My Amana dishwasher leaves a black residue on all dishes. The residue does not adhere to the dishes as much as detergent or food would, and is fairly easy to rinse off in the sink. It originally looks like coffee grounds at the bottom of a cup, but upon closer inspection it appears to be small particles of black rubber or plastic. When I put clean glasses in and just run them through the rinse cycle, the problem is the same. I have repeated this several times with clean glasses and
The black residue is possibly rust from iron pipes. I have an old house with iron pipes and when the washer opened the valve that lets water in from the supply hose it did so suddenly and created a "water hammer" that shook the pipe. The hose suppl ... Amana 24 in. ADB2200AW Built-In Dishwasher

Our GE GLD5900 dishwasher's coarse filter, the large filter on the bottom ,is warping up. this allows food and other particles into spray arms which then fail to circulate. I don't think the fact that it is warping up is good for the pump eitehr since harder particles are not going into the sump for grinding at end of each cycle but circulating though pump. Although this part is cheap, shipping is not, andi I replaced it last year. the new one warped up as well a few months later and is no lon

My Zanussi DE6744 dishwasher won't run it's cycle since I ran a dishwasher cleaner through it. It powers up then stops and flashes 2 green lights alongside a symbol that looks like a bowl with steam rising from it and an arrow with an upright line to it's right. There is also some standing water in the base of the machine. What do these mean.
The first thing I would do is check the float to be sure it is not stuck in the over filled position. Then I would check the drain to be sure that there is nothing clogged in the drain line. I have a Maytag MDBH945AWS dishwasher that makes loud noises when running through the wash cycle. When first purchased the DW was whisper quiet. At about 6 months it was noticeably louder. Sears dishwasher 665.15882000 part #8268296 fell off and I can't find the "screw" that holds it in place...probably went down the drain. Now dishes do not "dry" on air dry. Will this work on my machine? How easy is it to replace this part?
