Having problems with your Honda Pressure Washer PSI 3000 ?

Torque on rocker nuts

\015 Have a honda 5.5 160. had a push rod bent. somehow, the valve was not bent. replaced head gasket, cleaned and checked valves, replaced valve guide seals. got it all back together, set the valves at tdc. question is how do you set the 17 ft lb torque on the rocker nut. every time I begin to torque it, the nut just keeps turning in until the valve is pressed all the way open. hope this makes sense. dont know any other way to explain it. thanks, jay\015

Answers :

First of all, put down that torque wrench! It's BS that the mfr puts in there to cover their ***.

You'll need a 14mm and 10mm open end and of course a set of feeler gauges.

With the small nut loose set your gap ( .006 intake/ .008 exhaust +/- .001 on each). Once you got your gap, hold the large nut with the 14mm and tighten down the small one. Now check your gap again, it hard to keep from moving slightly and my take a few attempts. You want to make it snug but don't gorilla torque it.

My dishwasher did not clean well. I replaced the seal on the bottom spray arm. there is a wobble now. the nut does not seem to screw down tightly. there is nothing wrong with the nut, it simply does not reach. I don't know if the lower arm is supposed to wobble, or if the nut should screw down tight. I can't seem to find a picture anywhere so I can visualize exactly how the spray are fits together. The note by FixAllPhil entitled "Poor cleaning or noisy pump on Whirlpool or Kenmore dishwasher" has a significant error. The first step should be to "Remove the lower wash arm (1) by turning the nut CLOCKWISE (right)". I damaged the threads on my dishwasher nut by trying to turn it counterclockwise. Once that error is corrected, please remove this post.

Bosch APEXX model number SHY99A05UC/14 lost power. Power input line appears to have arced (white power line and wire nut show signs of stress). The power breaker did not throw at the junction box. Already cut back wire and re-attached new wire nut along with replacing the breaker at the junction box. Still no power. There are no other visible signs of power stress or water damage underneath the unit or inside the doo panel.

I do not have access to the user or service manual for this model.\015\012However, such symptoms could be result of heater element or thermal overload fuse blowing. Do you remember having a very hot dishwasher when the it lost power.\015 ... Bosch Dishwashers
