Having problems with your Hotpoint 24 in. FDW60 Free-standing Dishwasher ?

Leaking FDW60 I have a Hotpoint FDW60 dishwasher. yesterday it tripped our house electrics and then we had water flooding out of the dishwasher. Through a process of elimination I have now discovered that water is leaking from the drainage sump in the centre of the babse down onto the motor or other electrics. I have looked for loose hoses and there are none visible from the base of the dishwasher, can you give some ideas where the water might be coming from?

Answers :

Had a similar problem when I removed the lower spray arm for replacement (see http://www.fixya.com/support/t234402-fdw60_dishwasher ) and didn't put the centre retaining nut back. It might be worth checking the lower arm is screwed in tightly as the retaining nut prevents water escaping.

I just had a Haus slimline dishwasher delivered and have tried to set it up. I have followed the instructions to the letter but the water inlet hose keeps leaking out water when you move the dishwasher into place after attaching the hoses. I have tried the manufacturer's hose they provided and two spare i have in my cupboard. I even went out and bought some 3/4" washers and added extra washers to the inlet hose, but it still leaks. What is wrong?

Dishwasher leak My dishwasher has a slight dip leak on the copper hose that rund from the hot water. The leak is between the copper hose and its connector nut. I tired fixing it with plumbers tape but it still leked out the sides of the tape.

Tape won't solve this issue. The fitting I assume is a compression fitting which is a ring on the copper pipe that is compressed when the nut is tightened. If tightening the nut won't resolve the issue, then you will need to cut the copper behind the ... Dishwashers

I have a GE potscrubber Dishwasher Model # GSD3630ZZ3WW it has been leaking from the bottom for about a week. I took the bottom off tonight and ran the dishwasher so that I could see where it is leaking from. Dishwasher Leaking Dishwasher leaks from underneath the right front side of appliance. Can't tell exactly where it's leaking from, because of plastic guard/support on underside. All of the connections and hoses are in good shape. I'm assuming that it has something to do with the draining process, as it will leak 2-3 times during a wash cycle. Sometimes it's very little water and sometimes it's as much as a gallon.

We are having a problem with our LG Dishwasher. The machine is washing for about half an hour and then will stop and report an E1 error. According to the user manual this means "Water leakage in Hose connection" or "Water is leaked by damages". We have checked the diswasher's water connections and can't see any water leaking out. We have also cleaned the filers and checked the spray arms but that has not made any diffrence. Any suggestions what this error means and what we can try to resolve it

My GSD900G-01 dishwasher leaks where the hot water is supposed to go into the tub. There's a plastic fitting that seems to be glued to the side of the tub and the hose from the inlet valve goes to the top of this fitting. There are no visible cracks or other damage but there is some rust inside the tub at the fitting. The fitting has two open gaps on it's side which is where the water is leaking out. It looks like the water is supposed to flow past these gaps (which I'm guessing are there to

My dishwasher leaks water from the top of my sink when in the drain cycle mode causing a mess on the counter top. How do I stop this leak? The plastic cover to the part which is located next to the faucet is cracked but there appears to be no leaks on the hose or on the part itself. Also, what is the purpose of this part? Is this the actual drain for the dishwasher and if so, why doesn't it tie directly into the drain?

The supply water connection on the bottom of the dishwasher has an ever so slight leak. Not the compression part, but the larger connection that goes directly into the dishwasher. The directions say not to overtighten, but how tight is too tight, or too loose is too loose for that matter? I know the components are brass. I wrapped the male end with teflon tape. I know it is not supposed have any leakage. Need some peace of mind please.

Our dishwasher had to be removed. In reconnecting it to the water supply under the sink, the plumber could not keep it from leaking. I think there was a rubber washer that got lost during the disconnect/connect procedure. He then proceeded to gut off the end of the PEX hose which has a ridge and the last 1/2 inch is a little smaller than the hose. Now he says we need to order a new PEX hose from the factory. FDW60 dishwasher Hi My dishwasher is about 15 months old and the problem I have is that it seems to stay on pump and the Ecco45 light is flashing.  A repair company looked at the machine and said that the motor looked like it was leaking and water was getting in the bottom setting off the micro-switch.  He contacted Hotpoint who fitted a new motor today at a cost of £89.85.  Went to use dishwasher tonight and we still have the same problem.  The dishwasher started the washing programme for about
