Having problems with your Karcher 2500 PSI Pressure Washer ?

Engine will not turn-over. It is a Honda 11 HP, OHV on a Karcher Pressure Washer. It was running fine for about 45 minutes. All of a sudden it stopped. When I tried to start it again, the engine is bound up so that the pull rope will not pull out at all. It has plenty of gas. The crank case is full of oil, not over full.

Answers :

Pull the spart plug out and see if you can pull it. Sometimes the carb will flood the engine to a point that they get hydrolic lock.If it does free up then I suggest cleaning the carburator before trying to start it again. If it does not free up the you have to pull the pump off the engine to help determine if its engine or pump thats the problem.
1) Disconnect the garden hose and pressure hose to the pump. This will ensure there is not a pump pressure load on the engine.
\015\0122) Remove the spark plug, check it's color. Brown/Dark Brown is OK. Silver/Aluminum coating, engine is siezed.

I purchased my KARCHER G2500VH last summer. I used it one time for about an hour. I tried to start it today, seems like its not getting gas. I checked the gasline to make sure gas was flowing. I removed the sparkplug, poured a little gas into the engine through the plug hole. Replaced the plug, pulled the rope and it started for about two seconds. I also poured fresh gas in tank. Cannot get to start.

The key things to check are the spark plug, the air filter, the fuel. If those are all new and in good shape then you probably have gum in the carburator. Get a can of starter fluid and a helper. One person squirt the starter fluid into the air in ... Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washers

I have a kohler command pro 8.5 on a porter cable pressure washer. Yesterday it started just fine. Today I pulled the start rope and there was no resistance and the engine did not turn over. I have a Briggs & Stratton gas power washer. This is the 1st time this year that I have used it. I put in fresh gas, hooked up the water supply. The engine started and then quickly stopped. I had to release the water pressure in the hose before I could pull start the engine. The only way to keep the engine running is to hold down the spray nozzle trigger. Once that is released the pressure in the hose builds up and the engine stops.

I have a Troybuilt pressure washer which has a Honda GC160 engine. The engine starts easily but quits after about a minute. One pull and it re-starts, then quits in a minute....... This goes on for as long as I want to keep re-starting it. Anyone know what it might be? I pulled the carb off and blew out all of the various ports I could find. I did not remove the carb adjustment screws as I have not had any luck getting them back in place during previous problems with other gas engines.
