Water spraying out of the front vent of unit.

Answers :

Dear zenith 10deg,
\015\012The outlet elbow attached to the head inside must have cracked. Leakage from selas do not that much spraying. Spraying are almost always caused by the cracking of the outlet elbow or the cracking of the head itself. The inlet elbow also makes a lot of spraying wheb broken, especialy if inlet water pressure is high. To see exactly from where the spraying is coming out, one must for sure remove the cover. Removing the cover must be done, because just the same one has to fix the problem.

Removed rear toe-plate to detect leak. Leak caused by broken drain hose. Hose replaced. To do this the unit was tipped forward onto its front door to allow access to the base area. Water allowed to drain out the front base area. Unit re-assembled but now does not switch on. Water connected. Base-plate dry. No water was detected at upper-front control panel. Power is connected and reaching unit ( multi-meter test ). Tipping the unit forward seems to be the cause. Is there any fuse,

Wash impeller is cracked where it slides onto the hexagon rod but it you take the filter flow plate off and put the impeller back on, when you put the unit on rinse only and quickly open the door you can see it is still turning and moving the water. The unit still fills and drains. it just does not have enough force with the impeller to force the water into the spray arms.

Dishwasher fills with water, but spray arms don't spray water or spin. As the cycle moves forward, water is eventaully pumped out (so the pump is working). i've selected different cycles with the knob on the front of the machine but they all work the same.... no swishing with the spray arms. When the cancel button is pushed, the water is pumped out... as it should. Thanks for the help.

My Kitchen Aid KUDS01DJSS0 seems to have water going to the upper spray arm (I see water coming out of the unit just beneath the upper rack), but the pressure doesn't seem to be high enough to clean the upper rack. No evidence that water is coming out of the spray arm on the very top. Lower rack dishes seem to clean OK. I have already removed the whole upper spray arm assembly and inspected the flapper valves that the middle sprayer goes into. I suspect that it's not making good enough contac

Dishwasher fills with hot water. Float OK - water feed stops when full. Motor humms but no water spray (in all opperating modes). Cancel selection (with cancel button) and close the door. The water drains then the unit shuts off. Water feed OK. Drain Cycle OK. Looks like spray pump hung but do not know. Cannot find a reset button (as with disposal) or way to free hung pump motor. I did see glass pieces in the drain. Possibly a small piece hanging the motor.

Kitchenaid dishwasher - small pieces of food are left on otherwise clean dishes. Water level comes to about 1 inch below heater coil. I ran it without dishes (or soap) and added about a quart of water so that level came to about 1/4 inch below heater and that's when I noticed food pieces on drain surfaces (nylon filter under bottom spray arm unit and circular plastic "trap" surrounding it). Spray arms holes are clear and water is hot.
