Dear dumbelldaveb,
\015\012Having a 13A fuse I am concluding that the machine is single phase. Most probably you have a faulty capacitor. Check the capacitor and if you find it expanded and leaking...then you must change it with a new one. If you see the capacitor is normal just the same it could be shorted. So change the capacitor with a new one and try to start the machine WITHOUT LOAD. Which means no water inlet and no gun attached. Doing this you can also remove temporarly the micro switches. If the motor still hums, then most probably there is a fault in the electric motor.
\015\012Now if you find out that the fault is the capacitor (which in my opinion it is the case)...you must see why the capacitor broke. If when using the machine and the gun is closed, the machine starts on and off on its own,...this will damage the capacitor. This on and off fault could come from a leaking gun. Or a leak from the seals. Whatever....the machine must not be left going ON and Off when the gun is closed. This ON and OFF could be due to faulty micro switches and control valves.
\015\012I am very sorry to mention a lot of things, but I hope as in many cases,..the changing of the capacitor will solve the problem. I wish to add that the electrical lead wire must be checked. On many occasions I found that the electrical lead wire from the plug to the machine was damaged and shorted, ..due to pulling, wear and tear.
I have a HDS 558c and it works great whilst holding the trigger, as soon as i let go of the trigger the fuse pops. Currently i have to work the on/off switch whilst holding the trigger down.
\015\012Any suggestions please??
\015\012many thanks

My Samsung DMR77LHS dishwasher has lost power completely near the end of a cycle. About an inch of water remains. I have power to the unit. I checked the 15 amp fuse in the unit - it had blown. I replaced it, but still no luck. The fuse is not blowing, but there is no power to panel. Nothing happens when you hit the power button - no lights or anything. Unit acts as if ther is no power at all. I have seen similar posts. Any thoughts?

I have a Whirlpool DU1055XTSS dishwasher that completely stopped working. I took it apart, found the thermal fuse to be bad, ordered a new, then replaced it and it worked for 2 loads. Blowing fuse... We've replaced the overheating fuse located in the control board area about 5 times. It has just blown again after using the dishwaser one time--before it would go about a month before blowing the fuse. It seems to get about a few minutes away from completing the wash cycle and does not complete the draining process. Help!! We don't know what to do next--replacing the fuse is costing about $15 each time, before you know it we could have bought a new one! Thanks for the help. Ti

The fuse in the plug keeps blowing. Initially it would run for a while - sometimes 3 or 4 cycles - before blowing. It now blows the fuse the second that I plug in to the socket, even with the on/off button on the front of the dishwasher set to off.I'm keen to take it apart, but it's full of water as it blew mid-cycle. Is there a clever way to empty the machine without the power being on, or do I need bits of hose and sponges?A schematic blow up would also be extremely helpful.
