Removal of pump casing

\015 Upper arm does not rotate. I have removed the bottom arm and top plate and found some rubbish in the sump but I think that the problem may still be material inside the pump itself. \015\012The pump casing is held by a screw on one side and a plastic latch on the other.\015\012I have been unable to remove the casing. The retaining screw comes out easily enough but using gentle force in various ways around the plastic latch fails. \015\012I note that the casing is very firmly against the body of the unit which leads me to suspect that a special tool is required. \015\012Does anyone have any suggestions on removing this casing.\015\012thank you.\015

GLD4050 DW won't pump out at any time during wash cycle. Removed lower arm, screen, etc. and washed and cleaned out everything. Removed drain hose and cleaned it out. Reinstalled and ran again. At no time during he cycle does the water pump out. HOWEVER, if I put my hand on the drain pump I can feel and hear the pump running as usual at the right times in the cycle. What else could be preventing the pump out? Thanks!

We ran a cycle with 'Lemi Shine' a hard water treatment (Lime remover). After that cycle, the tub will fill and drain, but the water does not reciculate. So, I assume the deposits loosened and then clogged either the recirculation pump or a sensor that activates it. I don't know how to determin that or how to access the senors/floats. I do know if it's the pump that's clogged, I have to remove the thing and flip it on its top to access, but don't know the details.

My SGS55M72AU/65 does not get rid of its drain water, although that wee pump in the bottom is clearly working (which I could see after removing filters and pump cover).
