I have a Beko DE3542FS dishwasher which has stopped heating the water. I know the heater element is ok because I have had it tested. I was wondering if the thermostat was faulty if this would account for it not heating. The element has had 240v applied and becomes hot. So my reasoning is that it is either the thermostat or the programmer. Any suggestions?

Dishwasher is 'tripping' electricity to the house fuseboard as soon as water heating begins in any cycle - cannot locate thermostat to test ?

This can be due to the fact that the heaters draw up more current than required and so trips the circuit. it will be important to remove and check the heaters, check if the contactors are faulty that feed supply to the heaters. Also if ... Dishwashers

Hi I have a Zanussi ZDF501 dishwasher that stopped heating up intermittently. It got worse and I fitted a new heater and all was ok for a few months. Then the intermittent failure started again. Note that I tested the old heater and it is actually OK without a short circuit so I don't think it was the problem adn can be re-used. Could it be the thermostat or heat sensor? I am concerned it might be the PCB since the failure was intermittent. Thanks Dave

In my case, although the solder joints on the relay looked poor, improving them didn't help. I had to replace the relay. Fortunately, Maplin stock a compatible one, JM67X for 1.99. See ... Zanussi Dishwashers

Dishwasher Thermostat This dishwasher has two thermostats, one for TEMP BOOST WASH and one for TEMP BOOST RINSE. I'm floored that that they actually have two different thermostats for what could easily have been a single thermostat (unless washing dishes has suddenly become as complex and precise as launching rockets). but even more shocking is the fact that one thermostat is a $15 part and the other is $60. I suspect the only difference is the trip temperature so I'm looking for spec

Dishwasher problem Our Asko 1353 dishwasher stops halfway through its's wash cycle. I suspected the thermostat, as it seemed loose in it's holder and not tight against the tub. After I tightened the holder the problem is still the same. Also, the on/off switch (pressure switch?) does not stay in the on position and when I looked it over I found one of the crimp on terminals had melted. Short circuit? Too much resistance from bad thermostat? How do I check the thermostat before I order a new one?

I think your switch may just be bad,but to check the t-stat remove both wires and use a multimeter, set the meter to ohms and connect the two leads to the terminals on the t-stat.with the t-stat to off you should read an (ol) open condition, when you t ... Dishwashers

I have a Smeg dishwasher SA660 EB. Still like new . Hardley used but have problems with the timer switch not progressing past 5 and also had the thermostat replaced as a loud bang heard and the machine did not work. I found the thermostat just pushes up into the rubber seal in the bottom of the dishwasher. I have taken out the rubber seal as this also loo

I have a Blanco Dishwasher Model BFDWC65X. It appears that the thermostat may be faulty as the water gets extremely hot on cycle 3 which is supposed to operate at 45 degrees centigrade. FDW60 Fault Hi, I have exactly the same problem. My dishwasher starts and washes ok but appears to get very hot during the drying phase and then the two lights fast and eco flash warning of a heater problem. I suspect either the heater, thermostat or control PCB. As the rest of the cycle seems of and the water gets hot then I'm assuming the heater and thermostat are OK. When the dishwasher attempts to dry is when the problem starts. Did anyone find out what there fault was? Thanks

I have run the test cycle and the tub is filling up and draining but no washing is taking place during the wash cycle. The dishwasher has an electronic control board and therfore no mechanical timer. Our GE model GSD4320Z00B is having a problem with the drain system. I've run the unit in the test mode and it does pump the dishwasher down. The problem is the unit does NOT pump down during a normal wash cycle. The fact that the unit works in test tells me it is not the pump. I've checked all the hoses and drain paths and there are no obstructions, again verified by the fact it works in test mode. Any test that can be used to determine the problem besides replacing parts one by one?
