I noticed a burning smell coming from it the other day and then realized that although I can hear water running into the dishwasher when I start it, it never actually runs in the sense that the water is pushed through the various outlets to wash the dishes. I'm assuming that it is because the unit is dry and the heating element is still coming on that it is causing a burning smell. If I open the unit and reset it, it pumps the water back out into the si

My dishwasher emits a dead animal smell immediately after filling. I have a 20-year-old KitchenAid KUDS220T3 dishwasher. The racks are a little corroded, but it still cleans dishes just fine. About two months ago, it started smelling like a dead animal immediately after the dishwasher fills with hot water, during the time the water is being heated, but before agitation begins. The smell appears to be coming from around the door. If I open the door, everything inside the dishwasher smells fine.

I have had a repairman come out and look at this and he says all the diagnostic test say everything is okay. My problem: my dishes come out dripping wet...like it hasnt dried anything. Sometimes dishes are still dirty. I don't think there is any heat getting to anything. I run the water in the sink beforehand to try to get the water hot. I used this dishwasher for 1-1/2 years with no problems and now I have this problem. What is going on?

Bosch Dishwasher I currently own a Bosch dishwasher. One of the selling points, if I'm remembering right, of the dishwasher was it was supposed to super heat the hot water that is coming in from the tap. I have 3 problems. We have to rinse the dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher, Otherwise they won't come out clean. The dishwasher will run for four hours sometimes longer. It doesn't seem like it is heating the water any hotter than what comes out of the tap.
