I have a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III that is 8 years old and recently stopped cleaning top rack dishes. I remember finding a mylar like piece in the bottom of the tub and threw it away thinking it came off of something we washed (I know, bad thinking.) The mylar piece measured roughly 3-4inx2in and was folded in half. Anyways....the upper arm does not spin and the detergent doesnt get fully dispensed so dishes dont get fully cleaned. I am guessing not enough water pressure to upper arm. Wou

My tappan dishwasher is only 1 1/2 yr old and its not getting at least 1/2 of dishes clean. We have tried everything from changing to liquid soap, increasing water pressure at meter, not using while washing clothes. We used a dishwasher cleaner to remove calcium, and run hot water in sink before using. We know the wand, pump and drain are working. It is model TDB210RFB5 with 1.1A motor. Is the motor too small to clean dishes? I wish I could get my money back or exchange for an upgrade. Thanks!

A glass shattered in a thousand pieces in the dishwasher. I cleaned and vacuumed everything except the very bottom that I can't get to. I took out 8 screws, removing the round rotator piece at the bottom, but that still doesn't get me into the very bottom where I'm certain there is still glass. Question #1 - Will leaving the glass down there hurt anything? Question #2 - If yes, how do I get the rest of the part off without damaging it? I have a 10+ yr old Model DU920QWDB3 Thank y

The glass should just go down the drain from there. I doubt any piece that made it into there should damage anything as they are would have to be pretty small and as big as any food particle that could fit into there so you should be fine. If you rea ... Whirlpool Dishwashers

My dishwasher is leaking from underneath, front left as you look at it. If i go underneath it, there appears to be a seal on the outside (it does not appear to be the one that runs along the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher) that has come away at one point. Do you know a) how to get the front panel off (the bit that makes it look built in),b) how can i get another one of these seals. I assume if i get one we can just fit it into place. Many thanks, Robyn J

If my dishwasher is not getting water in and it is over 15 yrs old, is it smarter to replace it or should I go to expense of getting it fixed? I am not sure what the cause is, but I do know it is not getting water.

My dishwasher (Kenmore Elite 665) doesn't use up all the detergent in the detergent cup - it always leaves a little behind at the end of the cycle. the dishes don't get quite as clean any more, either. I recently replaced my old water heater - we were getting lots of little plastic pieces in our faucet screens. I'm guessing that the water pressure may be low, and that it may be due to the same problem. Is there a screen-type filter that filters the incoming water, before it enters th

I don't believe you have a screen at any water feed and doubt that would be the problem. Once the washer fills the pressure to the cleaning arms is provided by the pump itself. I have this issue every couple of months due to hard water and the calci ... Dishwashers

My dish washer isn't cleaning the dishes well. There are little particals inside of every cup and on dishes after it is done. I just emptied and and now I'm running it with bleach. But before I started it I looked at the drain hose under the sink. The drain hose had water in it. The drain hose is going uphill from the dishwasher to the sink so I don't know if this is normal to have some water in the drain hose when the washer completes since it's not would have to pump uphill to get to the garba

Blowing fuse... We've replaced the overheating fuse located in the control board area about 5 times. It has just blown again after using the dishwaser one time--before it would go about a month before blowing the fuse. It seems to get about a few minutes away from completing the wash cycle and does not complete the draining process. Help!! We don't know what to do next--replacing the fuse is costing about $15 each time, before you know it we could have bought a new one! Thanks for the help. Ti

Tim, this blown fuse issue was pretty common on this model. Whirlpool, which made this model came out with a fuse kit that included a terminal and heavier guage wire to eliminate this problem. It just splices right into the control board, easy job. T ... Kenmore 17024 Built-in Dishwasher

Hi! My bosch SHE43 built in dishwasher is about 2.5 yrs old, dishes aren't getting clean anymore. We have *really* hard water so I use the max rinse agent, but doesn't help. I clean the little canister filter with each wash, and just washed off that grate in the bottom. I also just cleaned the trap under the sink, but it didn't look bad at all. The problem is a grit left on glasses and things just not getting all the way clean. When I remove the grate at the bottom, there's a bit of water

I have a Bosch DLX Series (SMU4092UC/14) dishwasher that I can't use because the detergent dispenser doesn't open automatically during the wash cycle so the dishes only get sprayed with hot water but no detergent. I started working with the Karcher KB4040 pressure washer and all was well for 1-2mins, then it sputered a bit and all power died. All hoses were still attached properly, it hadn't blown a fuse in my house and the fuse in the plug of the washer is working fine. When I switch it on I get nothing. Do you think the motor has packed in? I borrowed the machine from my neighbour who's away on holiday, so don't know much about age of the machine. Any advice much appreciated.
