How do I remove the main conduit on my GE Triton XL dishwasher? The cover inlet that traps food from going down the drain somehow came off and clogged up the drain. I got the drain cleared but cannot get the cover back on and need to move the main conduit (pipe connecting lower and upper arms) before I can get it on. Anyone know before I spend too much $ finding someone to fix it?

Dishwasher drain is hooked to a food disposer and until recently the unit worked fine. Last week following a cycle a couple of inches of water did not drain out. All food is removed from dishes, silverware, etc. prior to loading and the food trap in the bottom is completely clear. I ran the unit empty through a Lightwash cycle and afterwards the water level (that which didn't drain out) looked to be the same as before. The dishwasher is run 2-3 times weekly whereas the food disposal is

Kenmore Elite: - Stale smell from dishwasher, won't go away, lingers on dishes, glasses. I tried a vinegar remedy suggested by a diy site - it helps for a cycle or two, but the smell comes right back. Diy site suggested taking apart the dishwasher to see if there is food trapped: there always remains a little water at the end of each cycle - but I'm concerned about taking apart my dishwasher if there is another solution. Smell doesn't smell of food to me. What do you think? Hollie Smith

My Asko D1976 dishwasher is not cleaning dishes properly. There is a lot of clumped detergent left in the dispenser after wash cycles are complete, and many of the dishes have dried-on food left on them. I rinse dishes before loading them into the washer, I have made sure the jets and washer arms are clean, and made sure the food trap at the bottom of the washer is empty, yet the problem persists. I think it has to do with the detergent not dissolving and dispensing. Is there some reason the

I have a Whirlpool DU810SWLQ0 that will not drain. I've pulled the unit out, snaked the drain tube, pulled the motor/pump, and pipe assemblies, and cleaned the food trap, which I also removed. I've run the dishwasher with a bit of bleach, and the water will pump in, get processed by the agitator, and be heated. When the rinse cycle comes, dishes get covered in food, and are never clean. Waste water was being used for a clean rinse. I've run the dishwasher with the drain dangling in a bucket,

After running our dishes through a wash cycle we noticed there was still a lot of food stuck on the plates & glasses etc. We cleaned out the trap but due to the murky water in the well, we also pulled out the racks & removed the bottom plate. The underside was greasy and had a lot of grim stuck to it as well as the bottom of the drawer itself. We washed the filter trap, swing arm and plate in the sink. We loaded it with the dishes that previously did not come clean and ran a full cycle. The

Kitchenaid dishwasher - small pieces of food are left on otherwise clean dishes. Water level comes to about 1 inch below heater coil. I ran it without dishes (or soap) and added about a quart of water so that level came to about 1/4 inch below heater and that's when I noticed food pieces on drain surfaces (nylon filter under bottom spray arm unit and circular plastic "trap" surrounding it). Spray arms holes are clear and water is hot.
