Having problems with your Kenmore Dishwashers ?

Kenmore portable dishwasher model 66517762K600 won't drain reliably. It sometimes doesn't drain at all and other times only partially regardless of the cycle.

It is probably plugged up with dirt or grime. I had a case where my drain tube/pipe was plugged up. After I disconnected it, it emptied out, and after I reconnected it, it worked fine. I also found stuff inside on the bottom that I cleaned out.
Hi

\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Thanks for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or\015\012not draining at all issues can arise due to different reasons. Usually,\015\012these issues are related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if\015\012connected with the dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump &\015\012filter.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Also note that dishwashers do not drain completely after a\015\012finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are designed to leave some water\015\012in the unit to ensure that the heating element doesn’t overheat. If you\015\012suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water being retained in your\015\012dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common reasons include that\015\012the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump isn’t working correctly,\015\012or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s drain lines.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012\015\012First check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and\015\012the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the\015\012air gap. Has the disposer been replaced recently? If so, chances are the\015\012knockout is still in place. Simply remove the drain hose from the disposer, and\015\012knock out the plug. If the disposer has not been replaced, try removing the\015\012drain hose from the disposer and use a wet-dry vacuum (prepared for water, of\015\012course) to **** any water (and hopefully anything else) from the drain line.\015\012Then reconnect the hose, and test the unit. If you have checked the air gap and\015\012the drain hose and can’t locate the problem, then it is an issue with the drain\015\012pump of the dishwasher.
\015\012\015\012

\015\012\015\012Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

\015\012\015\012Thanks

My dishwasher skips the final drain cycle. The lines are all clean and there is no clog. It drains just fine in the beginning of the wash cycle. Every time I do a load of dishes I have to run the full cycle, then leave the machine open for 3-4 hours and start the cycle again and listen for the drain at the beginning of the wash to drain the machine from the initial wash and stop the machine after it is done draining so it won't fill up again. Sometimes we have to unplug it and wait about an hour

Dishwasher is less than a year old. Once in a while it will stop about 10 minutes into the cycle, then the display lights will blink. Doesnt happen all the time but sometimes and yesterday happened about 10 times finally gave up. I can cancel and restart the cycle but the same thing happens.

Dishwasher Leaking Dishwasher leaks from underneath the right front side of appliance. Can't tell exactly where it's leaking from, because of plastic guard/support on underside. All of the connections and hoses are in good shape. I'm assuming that it has something to do with the draining process, as it will leak 2-3 times during a wash cycle. Sometimes it's very little water and sometimes it's as much as a gallon.

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

We live in an apartment and our hot point dishwashers timing is all off and i thought if i could fix it myself, i'd love to do that instead of calling our manager, i will call him, but if its an easy fix i'd like to try it out.. it will just stop in mid cycle, and you have to manually more it a fraction of an inch to get it restarted, then at the end it doesnt fully drain, and the drying takes forever, so if i cant fix it, i'll ask for a new one..

It might need a new mechanical timer (sounds like the timer is sticking) installed and the parts will cost money... so you might want to go the route of the manager. The dial that you turn to set the dishwasher is part of the mechanical timer. Someti ... Dishwashers
