Our 16 year old dishwasher takes way longer to finish cycles, has become very loud and now no longer cleans the dishes - especially the top rack and the silverware. We have hard water and I have run it with vinegar in a bowl 3 times and have been cleaning all the deposits I can today. It doesn't seem to be draining out all the gunk. Water flow seems ok, the arms have nothing blocking them. Any instructions for me to follow to clean out the mechanisms? Or has it run its lifespan... Thanks!

Parts are no longer available for your dishwasher. Typically - manufactures end support after 10 years.Your hard water deposits will never come all the way out. They will be "clean" for a month or so until another calcium chunk breaks free and ... Dishwashers

Hi, The machine will not complete a cycle. I think it may have started when the power was turned off at the mains during a cycle. Symptoms are : - You can turn machine on, select a program, press start button, close door, machine appears to begin cycle as normal, water seems to load, then 2 minutes later drains, and 1 minute or so after that the machine beeps 3 times to indicate cycle is finished. Dishwasher tablet door never opens, dishes not cleaned. Have tried : - cleaning filters; - turn

Good morning, our Siemens dishwasher has started malfunctioning. It sounds as if the cycle is working properly but it takes longer than normal and there is no hot water in the cycle. Our dishwasher is no longer cleaning dishes very well and usually the detergent tab that we put in does not dissolve completely. Our dishwasher is a General Electric Model # PDN7800G00WW and several years old. The water here is very hard. On a separate note and a new development is the control panel seems to be messing up. When we press the ''speed cycle'' which is normally 37 mins it goes to 86mins and lights up the ''speed cycle:'' button. pressing the ''glass cycle'' lights up the adjacent '

Hi - I have tried all the usual tricks of running an empty load with vinegar, and the food particle filter seems to be the kind that isn't removable. Whenever I run a load, there is enough left over particles on the dishes - especially the top shelf, that I either have to wash all the glasses by hand, or run at least one more cycle. I have a standard size hotpoint built-in dishwasher. Please let me know if there is a way to clean the filter, or an alternative method so that the dishes are a

The cycle doesn't seem to stop correctly. I start a load. It doesn't seem to matter which mode that I start in, but it will count-down the time, but at the end it hasn't stopped running. I've cleaned out the filter and the trap below. I've ran vinegar through a cycle. I've cleaned all of the spray arms. It doesn't seem to advance out of the wash mode. There is still some suds at the end. I have to end the cycle by canceling and draining it manually, then run a couple of "rinse--9 minute" cycles

Dishwasher Normally, after the dishwasher cleans the load, it displays green light next to clean. Once the door is opened, the light goes off an dishwasher is ready for next load. But from few days, after opening the dishwasher door, the clean light does not go off, it remains lit. Dishwasher doe snot reset for next cycle. So, I have to go in the basement and trip the main power to dishwasher. That resets the dishwasher. This needs to be done before each cycle. Not sure how to resolve the issue.

Hi, I have an LG LDS4821 dishwasher and it appears to stop working properly. The dishes don't seem to be cleaned at all. It seems like the spray arms are not spraying the dishes as the dishes are still dry/dirty after a normal wash cycle. I can hear water pumping into the dishwasher, but when I opened it during a wash cycle, there was a puddle of water at the bottom of the

The touchpad buttons no longer work to select a wash cycle. When I push "Start" the light above "Smart Wash" comes on and the dishwasher operates normally, but I cannot select any other cycles and the light only comes on after pressing "Start", not before. I have a 13 month old (Thanks Sears warranty!) Kenmore Portable Dishwasher Model 665.17769. It drains poorly, taking 2-3 times after load is completed running thru the ''cancel/drain'' cycle to clean it out. It is not getting dishes clean either, presumambly because the dirty water isn't being flushed out at cycle end and instead of rinsing with fresh water, it's still screwing with the dirty water.
