Maytag Dishwasher I would like to know the proper water level after DW fills. Older Whirlpool units a quick guide was when water just covered heater. I have a new D/W and the water supply is difficult to access, there is a kink in the water line slowing the water flow. The D/W fills to bottom of heater, but because the unit is so quiet I can't determine if it is timing out or working properly. I intend to repair water line when counter work is done. Thanks for any help Gary

Aeg favorit 50860 dishwasher and the dishes are not cleaning properly. Filter has been cleaned; Finish dishwasher cleaner has been run through machine; dishes are stacked properly.. any ideas? Leaking from under dishwasher. Has run great since 1996. Under counter model in manufactured home. Chnaged to drop in pellet dishwasher detergent and it ran great. Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. Dishwasher not working. Two weeks ago the heating cycle didn't switch itself off but appeared to correct itself. Now there is no water in the cycle... pump and heater working, just no water reaching the arms of the dishwasher. Any ideas why?

Sounds like a bad pump. If it drains the water and doesn't deliver at arms the pump is more than likely bad. First of all pull the water supply line off and see if there is build up from hard water on the in-line screen (if present), then If you are ... Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

The heater is still on (120volts) nothing further happens it just boils away on the water in the washer. I have the E3 error on my Smeg DWI614 dishwasher which would indicate a heater error, however it is heating the water in the bottom of the machine but it seems to time out. The main issue seems to be that the recirc. pump is not running during the heating phase. I have taken the pump out, checked the connections etc. twice now and everything seems fine (the motor runs when tested). When I have done this (both times) the dishwasher has started again and run for 20+ cycles fine, then the issue com

You have to test the heating element with an ohm-meter. It should read very low ohms. If the element seems ok, you have to test the controller to see if it is powering the element (probably should be 120 volts) ... Electrolux Dishwashers

We have had a problem with our dishwasher since "winterizing" it to close the cottage for the winter. We were told to run it for a few minutes with antifreeze in it and then turn off and let it overwinter with the antifreeze in it. Now the machine leaves everything coated with a white film, even though we have a water softener and use jetdry. How can we fix this and is this the proper way to winterize our dishwasher if we close down our cottage and turn off the heat for the winter?
