I have a Frigidaire ultra quiet energy star dishwasher and the dial gets stuck halfway through the cycle. It runs all day if I'm not home. And when the dishes come out, there's bits of dirt and what looks like gritty sand stuck on all the glasses. I was going to clean the filter out but I don't know how to do that. It's a ten year old model (at least) and I have no paper information about it. Help!

My Bosch dishwasher has several problems: 1) Water doesn't completely drain out and dishwasher kind-of smells when I open it -- I do keep the filter very clean. 2) The dishwasher takes HOURS to go through one load, no matter what the time says on the display and no matter what type of cycle you choose -- quick, delicate or regular. 3) The red display often displays something that looks like "2h" at the beginning of the cycle. 4) The place where you put the detergent doesn't shut.

Kenmore Elite: - Stale smell from dishwasher, won't go away, lingers on dishes, glasses. I tried a vinegar remedy suggested by a diy site - it helps for a cycle or two, but the smell comes right back. Diy site suggested taking apart the dishwasher to see if there is food trapped: there always remains a little water at the end of each cycle - but I'm concerned about taking apart my dishwasher if there is another solution. Smell doesn't smell of food to me. What do you think? Hollie Smith

My dishwasher is a Profile Quiet Power II and is 8 years old. There is one person in my household, so it has not had a lot or wear. The issue is that the flatware and glasses do not come out clean. The flatware is often smudged and the glasses are cloudy. I have changed detergent several times and adjusted the settings and hot water. There is a self-cleaning filter. I am contemplating buying a new dishwasher but wonder if I would benefit from a service call.

I have a bosch dishwasher SHE43C06UC22 (non-LED version). It's stuck in the drain cycle and continues to run even when opening the door (it should stop, but it doesn't). As a test, I poured a large glass of water in the bottom of the dishwasher and it drained it into the sink as it should, but it continues to run in the drain mode with no water in it. Our GE GLD5900 dishwasher's coarse filter, the large filter on the bottom ,is warping up. this allows food and other particles into spray arms which then fail to circulate. I don't think the fact that it is warping up is good for the pump eitehr since harder particles are not going into the sump for grinding at end of each cycle but circulating though pump. Although this part is cheap, shipping is not, andi I replaced it last year. the new one warped up as well a few months later and is no lon

I own a GE Profile Built-in Dishwasher Model number is PDW7880G00SS, Serial number is FF7872828.  We have recently been having major cleaning issues with it, especially the top shelf i.e. the glasses.  There is always dried up debris on them.  We always run the water hot and run it on "added heat" cycle.  I was wondering if there is a filter, or an area in the dishwasher that needs to be cleaned out?  Even if I put perfectly clean dishes in there, they will come out dirty, which leads me to thin

GU980 dishwasher I have a buzzing sound when the washer is in drain mode. The manual indicates there might be something in the Power Clean Filter, and that it will go away when the object grinds up. I called Whirpool, and they said the same, and to run for 2-3 cycles to make go away. 2-3 cyles later, noise is still there. I noticed a nub off the rack that looks like an end peice of metal broke off from rust. My guess is it's stuck in the PCF, and will not grind up. I removed the nut, lower spray
