I have a Frigidaire Dishwasher, model #FDB635rfs It is not that old, but appears to have quit working. It sounds like it runs the water gets pushed in by the tube on the side but goes straight to the bottom of the washer. It looks like the spray arms are not spinning. Water is not circulating. Element still heats up. Detergent just runs down the inside of the door and doesn't dissolve since water is not circulating through arms. I have just replaced the water inlet valve and it did not hel

I have a Kenmore Ultra Dishwasher. The bottom arm spins, the top doesn't, although water drips out. The water fills up under the heating element. The top dishes aren't getting clean and the bottom aren't as clean as they used to be. I also noticed that the soap dispenser is open, some of the soap is gone, but there's still some soap in left in the dispenser. This never happened before and it happens all the time now. Thanks for any help you can give me!

My frididaire dishwasher is leaking at the heating element/burner (red wire). I have tried to tighten the connection from under the dishwasher but it continues to leak (very slowly). Hi Model DU1048XTPQ4...when I started the DW today, it sounded kind of loud. I let it continue, then I smelled something burning. What I think happened is that the lower spray arm is too loose-so when it spins, it gets stuck on the heat ring on the bottom of the DW and then the plastic parts start to melt. We disassembled the spray arm and there was lots of calcium/lime build-up. So we cleaned all of that out, put it all back together, but the spray still seems too wobbly. Went ahead and start

I have a JDB1090AWS about 3 years old. We noticed a smell and found cutting boards and plastic cups melted. Machine was off. Had to turn off the breaker. Checked both leads to element & have power even with machine off. Not sure if it could be the limiting thermostat; I assume that is to shut the heat down when it gets too hot. Element is on though when it shouldn't be to begin with. I did have to tighten the water supply. Had some water underneath, but all wires seemed dry. Any tests I should t

The washer is not cleaning properly, I found that the lower spray arm is fairly floppy and will tip enough to hit the element. I put a new spry arm on a couple of months ago but did not replace the cap. Do you think there would be enough wear on the bottom of the cap to cause a problem? Thanks - Bill G.

I want to remove the white plastic wheel that propels water into the circulating arms. It is held with one screw which I cannot seem to be able to loosen. This white plastic wheel has 2 small holes in the surface which are perhaps there for some special tool to hold the wheel stationary in order to loosen the screw holding this wheel in place. Underneath this gray plastic housing is the heating element. I want to remove it in order to clean accumulated deposits of gunk.
