Having problems with your KitchenAid 24 in. KUDS01DLSS Built-in Dishwasher ?

My Model is Kitchen Aid Dish washer KudS01DL. Water inlet and outlet are working well. I do not here the water being sprayed. Only here a straining pump. The srpay arms are barely spinning when I open the door. Water level looks OK. Is there a filter preventing the water from reaching the spray arms?

Hi

If the water inlet\015\012valve is fine and it fills with water then the issue seems to be with the float\015\012switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found\015\012inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher\015\012lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for\015\012the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby\015\012shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may\015\012interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to\015\012test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and\015\012touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either\015\012zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down\015\012on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If\015\012the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for\015\012further assistance.

The dishwasher doesn't seem to have nearly enough water in it. The upper sprayer arm doesn't seem to be spinning when running (I open the door and look really quick) and the lower one looks like it barely spins and barely sprays water. The dishes are barely wet and the soap is just laying on the bottom. The water is on, there are no kinks in the supply line. It sounds like it is running, and pumps pumping, but being brand new I am not sure what it should sound like. It certainly doesn't sound li

Recently our GU1100XTLQ1 started having a problem. It barely cleans the bottom rack, and barely gets top rack wet. The soap stays stuck in the dispenser. I can't see inside as it runs, but my guess is that not enough water is being shot out of the various spinning arms. From looking at diagrams it would appear that this dishwasher uses a pump to circulate water from the bottom of the cavity through the spinning arms. Is my problem a dying pump?

Item: Whirlpool Ultra Dishwasher Age: 3 yrs Problem: Not enough water to effectively wash the dishes. State: When the dishwasher is started, the fill valve opens as normal. Only about 1/2 the amount of water is let in when the pump turns on and the washing cycle begins. Opening the door shows that the water level does not reach the bottom of the float. When I close the door, the wash cycle begins again but stops after a few seconds. This is when the water begins to fill again. This time, the wat

After running a cycle, there is some water in the tub and the soap dispenser is open but the soap has only run down the inside of the door. It does not sound like there is a vigorous spray during the wash cycle. Opening the door during the wash cycle reveals only a little water reaching the upper arm.

Hello, Im trying to diagnose poor cleaning of glasses in the top rack of my Fridigaire FDB751SCB0. everything seems to work fine but while testing I noticed the upper arm isn't spinning. the lower arm is. i believe the pump is working as water is spayed everywhere inside but no matter which position I leave the upper arm in, I find it in the same place when I open the door. what could cause the upper arm to not get water preventing it from spining?

I have a Frigidaire Dishwasher, model #FDB635rfs It is not that old, but appears to have quit working. It sounds like it runs the water gets pushed in by the tube on the side but goes straight to the bottom of the washer. It looks like the spray arms are not spinning. Water is not circulating. Element still heats up. Detergent just runs down the inside of the door and doesn't dissolve since water is not circulating through arms. I have just replaced the water inlet valve and it did not hel

I have a Frigidaire dishwasher, FDB-1100RHC, that is not cleaning dishes. My fiance cleaned the trap at the bottom of the washer, removing both the small basket and the larger mesh grid. The door on my Frigidaire dishwasher recently began opening too far. It slants toward the floor, a few degrees past level. Looking at it, however, nothing seems to be broken or missing. The springs are still in place just fine. The door stops when the metal arm hits the stopper, so I don't know how it ever stopped at the level.

Noticed dishes on top shelf not entirely clean. Ran machine empty and opened many times during wash. Noticed that Lower Spray Arm works as expected, but Middle Spray Arm turns only 1/8 or less, then Lower Arm spins again. Schematic with Use and Care manual just says pump motor switches from one to the other in certain cycles, but I don't see this happening. Looked for obstructions to water flow and pressure seems normal. Is control for this function part of the pump, or in the control panel?
