Not filling completly with water - KitchenAid Dishwashers

Answers :

The most common thing here is the presure switch ,either not reading correctly or blocked, you would need to pull the unit out and lay on its back. Then remove the bottom cover plate, you need to look for a round plastic unit it will have two or three wires coming from it and a thinnish plastic tube fitted to the front, the unit is flat on bottom, the wires connected to the top and tube comes from the rounded edge.
Pull the tube off and blow into it untill you hear the airflow inside the machine, next blow into the switch where the tube is connected and make sure you hear a click and click again when you stop blowing, put the unit and machine back together and test.If this does not solve the problem then we need to look at the timer or controller board the timer and board usually need to be replaced if they have gone fualty.(not sure wich your machine has you do not mention a model number)if you need further assistance then let me know and we can see what we can do.

My dishwasher emits a dead animal smell immediately after filling. I have a 20-year-old KitchenAid KUDS220T3 dishwasher. The racks are a little corroded, but it still cleans dishes just fine. About two months ago, it started smelling like a dead animal immediately after the dishwasher fills with hot water, during the time the water is being heated, but before agitation begins. The smell appears to be coming from around the door. If I open the door, everything inside the dishwasher smells fine.

This vent that you are describing is to allow air to flow in for the heat/dry cycle. Some times little creatures want to "mark" their territory by "spraying". Spray some type of cleaner like ammonia into it and **** it out with vacuum a few times. Mo ... KitchenAid Dishwashers

Champion dishwasher we have a champion freestanding dishwasher at my church. after the cycle is completed, the pressure guage behind the washer still shows 25-30 and it contnues to spray water. not forced by the motor, but more like a stuck open fill valve. if i turn off the water and run it, then turn the water back on, the valve is closed and does not let water freely in. butif i run it with the water on, it will continue to spray in freely after the cycle light goes out and you open the door.

If you turn the unit off from the circuit breaker will the water still run?if so the guts inside the solenoid valve are worn.you can call champion and get a kit to replace the worn parts and its not difficult to do.hope this helps. ... Dishwashers

I have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher (2004) and recently it has been leaking internally at a very slow pace. When not in use it will slowly fill until the floor of the unit is filled and then leak onto the kitchen floor unless we press the drain button and then it drains completely. When dishwasher is set to begin, sensor takes very long period of time. Cycles are longer than minutes indicated. Dishwasher fills with water but does not wash. Water then drains as though cycle is complete and moves to next cycle. Then the process continues. When cycle for drying is reached, much heat is given and occasionally it smells as though there is burning. A 82 minute procedure turns into hours.
