Having problems with your KitchenAid Dishwashers ?

Dishes in the upper rack no longer get cleaned. I've been using this dishwasher since 2004 (purchased new), and have not changed the way I loaded the dishes or the detergent. I called the Kitchen Aid help line, and the rep simply read the owner's manual to me (e.g., stand a glass of vinegar in the dishwasher and run a cycle), which did not address the problem. Any idea what I need to do? Thank you!

I recently bought a house (appliances came with it). The dishwasher is model #HSD2504J01WW. It does not get the dishes even slightly clean. There are food particles on all items, even glasses which had no food in/on them. I have made sure the waterhose to the dishwasher is wide open so enough water flows to it. I have run vinegar through a cycle....I am not sure how old this model is, the previous owner had the house for 4 years and it was here then. I do not want to spend alot repairing it,

Hello! My 3 yr old Bosch dishwasher (I think it is a SHE 43) is doing two things: 1) leaving a serious white film on dishes and glasses 2) leaving grit inside glasses on the top rack (always on glasses placed on the far back right of the top rack) I've tried cleaning the machine with hot washes with no dishes, vinegar only, but no luck. Any thoughts? Many thanks for your help!

Hello. Since you have already cleansed the interior of your dishwasher, we must conclude that the problem is with the water itself. If you do not have a filter on your water, you may want to consider installing a dirt/rust filter, at least on the h ... Dishwashers

My Kenmore Elite model # 630.16302402 dishwasher isn't getting the dishes clean. A lot of food is still on the dishes after cleaning, especially inside the glasses. There is a white film on glasses and the inside of the appliance. I also just noticed that the upper arm isn't turning. There is about 1/2 cup of water standing in the drain area (not visible until removing the filter tray at the bottom of the appliance). Is this normal? The obvious problem is the upper arm but it seems like the rin

Kenmore Elite: - Stale smell from dishwasher, won't go away, lingers on dishes, glasses. I tried a vinegar remedy suggested by a diy site - it helps for a cycle or two, but the smell comes right back. Diy site suggested taking apart the dishwasher to see if there is food trapped: there always remains a little water at the end of each cycle - but I'm concerned about taking apart my dishwasher if there is another solution. Smell doesn't smell of food to me. What do you think? Hollie Smith

Hi - I have tried all the usual tricks of running an empty load with vinegar, and the food particle filter seems to be the kind that isn't removable. Whenever I run a load, there is enough left over particles on the dishes - especially the top shelf, that I either have to wash all the glasses by hand, or run at least one more cycle. I have a standard size hotpoint built-in dishwasher. Please let me know if there is a way to clean the filter, or an alternative method so that the dishes are a

My dishwasher has started to leave a film on the dishes after washing. I have tried cleaning the dishwasher, cleaning and checking all the drains, running through cleaners, vinegar, etc. Nothing seems to work. It used to work great. But now it constantly leaves films on glasses, plates, etc. I have tried powder and liquid detergent. Any idea how to fix this problem?

We have had this dishwasher for approximately 2 years. Dishes do not clean well. For example, I put a mixing bowl in that I just mixed brownie in--and the bowl did not come clean (simply a thick chocolate mix). Glasses do not come clean. They always have a fine residue on the outside (food). My husband just took the (blades) out that spin and dispense water and cleaned them. The water volume seems better now. Still, if I remember correctly, the dishwasher cost around $900. It definitely

Dishwasher Odor Our dishwasher leaves dishes and glassware with a sulfer odor after the wash cycle. We have run vinegar through it, use jet dry, and use 1 tablespoon of dry detergent. All suggestions made by the "customer support". None of these have led to a permanent solution. We're about ready to "kick this to the curb". Any suggestions? I've checked filters and there doesn't appear to be any standing water. We have city water and there isn't an odor when you drink it.

Our Bosch dishwasher (model unknown) collects small rock-like deposits in the ends of the top spray arm. From what I've read, these could be calcium or other mineral deposits. Is there a safe agent that can be run through a cycle that will break these up? I've tried 3 different dishwasher cleaners; none seem to help. My dishwasher is almost brand new and it doesn't do a very good job at cleaning the dishes. There are usually stuff stuck on the glasses on the top shelf. I've tried cleaning it by taking all of the stuff out of the centre but it doesn't seem to help. I've also tried changing to the vinegar jet dry and that seemed to help but I'm still having the problem. I thought that maybe it was just a cheap dishwasher but I'm told that it is actually a decent brand.

Hi; We have a Frigidaire dishwasher that leaves a gravelly residue on the dishes and glasses, and just does not clean properly. The model is a GLD2250RDS2. We have contacted the manufacturer, and they have replaced a motor and pump due to severe noise, about 2-3 months after it was purchased, but this residue is something that occurred after and continues to persist. A second rep. from a different service came out twice, and suggested switching detergents, running hot water before running the wa

We have had this washer appx 5 years with no problem.

Bosch dishwasher Model SHU43C02UC/17 consistently leaves film on glassware, leaves residue in the bottom of glasses in the back position of the top rack, and sometimes leaves gritty residue on dishes throughout the dishwasher.
