Upper spray arm is not turning and I don't think water is coming out. Dishes on top are not coming clean. Dishes on bottom are clean (as clean as they get with this dishwasher). Whirlpool dishwasher DU1145XTPQA. I removed the lower arm etc and cleaned debris from my chopper/pump area. went through steps in reverse to reassemble it all BUT when I put the lower spray arm back on and tighten its VERY wobbly...I am not doing something correct in the last few steps...nut, plastic washer, feed tube cap & wash arm...please help

The note by FixAllPhil entitled "Poor cleaning or noisy pump on Whirlpool or Kenmore dishwasher" has a significant error. The first step should be to "Remove the lower wash arm (1) by turning the nut CLOCKWISE (right)". I damaged the threads on my dishwasher nut by trying to turn it counterclockwise. My dishwasher spray arms were clogged with calcium buildup so I cleaned one and replaced the other. You may want to check your hot water tank. It may need drained and cleaned, Or you may have the rod in the tank disintegrating. Also check you water faucet areators to see if they have calcium pieces too. ... Maytag Dishwashers

Removed lower spray arm of KitchenAid dishwasher and need to reinstall it. This installs over a spray arm nut that is a split ring. The nut goes over the outlet pump. I cannot get the nut to go over the outlet pump and then go inside the spray arm, which is 1/4-inch smaller in diameter.

I have a whirlpool GU2700XTSQ1 dishwasher. I have the typical top rack not cleaning problem. I have removed the rear washer tube that leads to the top sprayer, no clogs.
