Noisy dishwasher my Kenmore quietguard 4 has developed an exceptionally loud hum/buzzing noise seemingly coming from the door of the dishwasher, when closed, locked and put on either drain or wash cycle. If the unit is allowed to sit for 1-2 days, the drain cycle will empty the tub without the buzzing noise starting. If anything else is attempted afterwards, like a wash cycle, the noise immediatley starts at a low level, then becomes steadily louder, until the full volume is reached, and does not

Model #665.1746 The Smart Wash and Normal Wash buttons are blinking, and neither wash cycles begin when the Start button is pressed. The Cancel button drains and sometimes turns off the Normal Wash button from flashing, but it seems no matter what I do the Start button does not start any of the wash cycles.

The cycle doesn't seem to stop correctly. I start a load. It doesn't seem to matter which mode that I start in, but it will count-down the time, but at the end it hasn't stopped running. I've cleaned out the filter and the trap below. I've ran vinegar through a cycle. I've cleaned all of the spray arms. It doesn't seem to advance out of the wash mode. There is still some suds at the end. I have to end the cycle by canceling and draining it manually, then run a couple of "rinse--9 minute" cycles

The spray arms do not spin - no water is being pumped. At the end of the wash cycle time, the water will empty out of the sump. Thank you. TB

Bosch Integra SHU 9955US/12 - when we start wash cycle, the detergent dispenses and the tub fills with water, but the wash cycle never starts (never spins spray bars). Seems like timer is counting down, though, but doesn't start "washing". After waiting awhile, we are able to use the "Cancel/Drain" mode to drain the water. The drain filter in the bottom of the tub is clean.

Sounds like your motor is burned out. The drain motor and wash motor are seperate on your machine. You can check for power going to the motor, but to do this you might have to pull the dishwasher out. While the cycle is running check for 120 VAC g ... Bosch SHU9955UC Built-in Dishwasher

Hi, I have a Miele G638 Plus dishwasher and the Red Inlet/Drain light comes on shortly after the wash cycle starts. I have cleaned everything out and the impellor moves freely. I have also made sure the outlet is clear. I have tried resetting and repeating on different washing cycles but it always locks out after the washing cycle starts. Could this be a heater problem as the element looks quite corroded? I have had side panels off and the water appears to flow easily through the sid

Our dishwasher (a Maytag - MDBH970AW) will not proceed past the intital intake of water. It has done this occasionally in the past, but with repeated attempts to start a wash cycle, it would eventually work and continue to work for some time afterward. However, in the past week, it will not go through a wash cycle. I have ran the water, prior to starting, to ensure that it is intaking very hot water. When it quits, I can push the start button again and it will go through the 2 minute drain c

Whirlpool - Quit Partner I - DU1048XTP: Start at the beginning - Dishwasher would go through most of it's wash cycle and stop and the 'Start/Resume' LED would start flashing. Would press 'Start/Resume' and wash cycle would start again and run non-stop. Would have to hit 'Cancel/Drain' to stop. Called local service tech and he said board would need to be replaced. First board he brought failed right away, second board was installed. Tech also replaced latch handle assembly because it was missing

The touchpad buttons no longer work to select a wash cycle. When I push "Start" the light above "Smart Wash" comes on and the dishwasher operates normally, but I cannot select any other cycles and the light only comes on after pressing "Start", not before. Also, the Options buttons seem to work normally but the delay button doesn't scroll through 2-4-6, it only toggles the light on and off above "4". The item is 15 months old. Thank you.

When trying to start the dishwasher, pressing the Normal wash button, the dishwasher gives a huge clunk and then it trips the circuit breaker. Upon resetting the breaker, I tried the next button over, which is Soak and Wash, and it seems to go thru the cycle fine. Another time I tried the Normal button, but put the left dial on Rinse and it started up, but it would clunk periodically and it seemed to have a 'hot' smell. I'm worried to use it - what could this be? Is there anything else I can try

I have a kitchenaid dishwasher model kuds24se with a problem. I MUST hit cancel before I hit start. Note that it doesn't matter how long it's been since the last cycle. It could be a few minutes or a day or more. I have to hit start to get a complete wash cycle. If I don't hit cancel, the washer goes through some sort of cycle and stops. I have a magtag quiet 100 series that has a broken handle but still shuts tight and seems to lock yet. Problem seems to be that the rinse only light will stay on for quite a long time and won't let me hit the wash button. I think I need to check the water pump/motor on my Bosch SHU43C dishwasher. It seems the water enters at the start of the wash cycle but then there is silence through the remainder of the cycles. Water will not spray. The drain appears to work ok to drain most of the water out. I have the washer out and upside down. Any hints on removing the base to get access to the pump? Should AI be looking at the control panel also for a fault? (the cycles seem to count down ok)

When starting a wash cycle it pumps out the remaining water as usual. It fills normally but does not pump/wash the dishes. It continues to heat and when first noticed it seemed to have gone through the complete cycle but didn't wash. The detergent door had opened and the soap pack dropped out but it never dissolved. The dishes were extremely hot too. Is the same pump used to both drain the washer and wash the dishes?
