We have an Rangemaster RDW459F1 integrated dishwasher and there is a strong taste of salt on everything. We indroduced 2 kg of salt into the dispenser after first filling with water as instructed. We live in a hard water area but even so I turned the arrow more to the - side, but it has not made any difference. It did seem alot of salt to put but it was first time being used. Can you help me please? Jackie

Stop using the tablets. they don't work in hard water areas. I think what you are dealing with is hard water deposits. Use "Lemi shine" for your main wash and the packets for your pre-wash. No one has harder water than where i live... Lemi shine work ... Dishwashers

I have a Karcher 550M pressure washer and was using today when all of a sudden the water started to pour through the handle hence lost the pressure of the water. Is this a rubber washer issue or the gun needs replacing or simpler than that. To be honest although I have had the washer for about 3/4 years now It is hardly used. Also can I fix it and where would I purchase the allen key to replace. Thanks Brian

I have a built-in Bosch dishwasher SHU 4302 UC. It no longer drains the water out at the end of all the cycles. I have tried everything mentioned in the booklet (make sure water is hot, use the jet-dry stuff, make sure outflow hose doesn't allow water back in). I have to siphon out at least a good bucketful of water. (Also, only the regular wash cycle works, which is fine with me.)

The problem is a solenoid on the bottom of the unit. It is a small black cylinder next to the pump. It operates the valve that changes to the drain cycle. You can probably order one from Bosch ... Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher

It appears that the dishwasher is not getting enough water. I have made sure that there is nothing blocking the door area so that the soap can dispense and I have reduced the amount of detergent to maybe a 1/2 Tablespoon. Have tried both powder and liquid detergents. Ran a sani clean cycle with the Jet Dry product for dishwasher used in the rural. I also run the hot water in the sink prior to starting the dishwasher to ensure the water is hot when it comes into the dishwasher. The detergent

Hi! My bosch SHE43 built in dishwasher is about 2.5 yrs old, dishes aren't getting clean anymore. We have *really* hard water so I use the max rinse agent, but doesn't help. I clean the little canister filter with each wash, and just washed off that grate in the bottom. I also just cleaned the trap under the sink, but it didn't look bad at all. The problem is a grit left on glasses and things just not getting all the way clean. When I remove the grate at the bottom, there's a bit of water

Powdery residue on some dishes, will not wash off. Repairman said it was due to warter temp, but have tries heat & Anti bacteria and still persists. Could it be chemical build up because I was using a no phosphate detergent(Finish)? Repairman also suggested I use Citric acid to clean dishwasher tub and element. Could this just be hard water?

I did not put salt in my new dishwasher just used a tablet. DIshwasher started up and then stopped saying water flow problem was this my fault? Rang service desk who were very rude and made a big thing about the salt which I did not think was a big thing since live in softw ater area.

Absolutly not your fault robert. nothing to do with salt atal. if its water flow problem could be a faulty flow meter in which case if ur dishwasher is under 28 days u can refuse a repair and demand a replacement.\015\012\015\012hotpoint ... Hotpoint Dishwashers

My mother has cancer so needs me to research her problem with her dishwasher. My mother's sink drain water is emptying into the dishwasher. It has to be manually removed since she does not cook much and therefore no longer uses the dishwasher as much as she used to. Is there anything I can do without calling a repair man or plumber? And if I must call a repair man, which should I call, a Maytag repair man or a plumber?

My ariston lsv 66 dishwasher will not start washing cycle. It makes the pumping noise as it normally does at the start of the cycle and some water enters the bottom of the machine but then it stops. I have checked to make sure that there are no leaks so the problem is with the filling up of the machine. I live in a hard water area and haven't used anything to help reduce the limescale so expect this to be playing a part. I have tried all the washing cycles but the same thing happens. Any advic
