Having problems with your LG 24 in. LD-12BW5 Free-standing Dishwasher ?

We have got the machine for approximately 2 years and the top dish rack has corroded so badly that I think it might collapse with a load on it. What could be the cause of it?

Answers :

The causes are usually poorly coated rack combined with rough usage (coating pierced
by cutlery, broken stemware, etc., combined with hard (mineral-laden) water, which
corrodes the steel of the rack quickly.
Luckily, the upper rack is replaceable, so check:

Bci450 My dishwasher has been always giving me lots of trouble. It is the BCI450 model from hotpoint. Whenever it reaches the washing stage for steam, it seems to beep alot. Many times they replaced the Circuit board but this problem comes back after 2 months. What could be the reason this is caused? Today they replaced the rubber thinking that water vapour might be reaching the circuit. I got this repaired about 7 times already and each time they replaced the circuit board.

Poor drying, mold building up in the tub. The condensing drying system is not working well. I pulled the unit out and removed a panel on the left side (facing washer). Saw that the plastic box that appears to be set up for moist air removal and vents to the tub had considerable mold in it at the top of one of the passage ways. Looked like it might be blocking air flow. Could this be a cause of poor drying? Can this unit be removed and cleaned? Also soap isn't dissolving. Bad board controllin

Hi.Poor drying is often caused by a faulty moisture sensor. If there is mold covering the sensor housing , that can be cause for the problem. Regarding the door detergent drawer problem, that is often caused by a defective doo ... LG LDF6810ST Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

My Delonghi dishwasher stops partway through the cycle - sometimes more than once & upon opening the door I find that the program number LED is flashing. I push start again and the load finishes. What could be causing the error? It seems to complete the load fine as long as I turn it back on.

Please provide the full model number of the dishwasher.\015\012\015\012it is likely either the door seal is hardened or the door latch is not making proper contact with door switch. This could be the reason it stops but when you open and ... Dishwashers

A GE triton dishwasher causes hammer noise when stops filling. The sink faucet works fine as do all the other faucets in the house. I cleaned all of the traps in the dishwasher. Because the sink works, I don't think it is a sink valve problem. I turned off the water to the house and drained the system, the air chambers should be good. Is there some component of the dishwasher that could be causing the noise? Would cleaning the pump help? If so, how would I do that?

The cause of the hammering noise, (slamming) is due to the water inlet valve on the Dishwasher (DW) shutting off abrutly once the DW reaches the proper amount of water.\015\012\015\012If this is an older DW, you might want to replace the ... GE Dishwashers

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher doesn't wash dishes properly. I think that it is not getting enough water in the machine. It only allows about an inch of water to get into machine and then starts. I do not think that there is enough water to spin wash arms. I have 40 PSI coming into the house. I am on well water and found debris in the intake orfice. I did my best to flush. Could it still be bad?

Kenmore 17362 dishwasher was making a bad noise and now the motor seems to be locked up. I might have already un-jammed the motor by removing the cover on the bottom (inside), and turning the knife impeller on the outside of the screen, but I can see lint type material in the hole on the other side of the impeller. Hard to explain, but it is in the hole in the center of the unit and there is a screen like the knife impeller has behind it. I could clean this lint if I could get the door off. How

I have an older Maytag model #WU482. For some reason it will not drain and will only run using the economy mode. I can hear the timer ticking at all other cycles and it does click between cycles. I recently replaced the drain float and the machine had been working fine after. The motor is working and the belt is good. I think the kids were playing with the timer knob. Could this cause a problem with the timer motor? Or does this sound more like a pump out issue, impeller? I'm thinking its

First, inspect the drain float. Make sure it rides on the micro switch correctly or it will not take on water.Check the float micro switch for continuity. Check for power at the water valve when it calls for water. Remove the wire harness from the tim ... Maytag 24 in. PDB1420 Built-in Dishwasher

We have had the dishwasher for about 1 year. It has worked fine up until a month or so ago. I use liquid detergent and after I wash a load of dishes, the liquid soap is all over the botton of the dishwasher, around the dispenser door and all over the dishes loaded above the soap door. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this? Thank you.

Kitchenaid (KUDM01TJWH0) Shortly aftter starting my kitchenaid (KUDM01tJWH0) dishwasher, smoke began coming out of the door. I opened the door and smelled a strong electrical smell. It is now completely dead. I drained the water out of the water line, thinking it might be plugged, but still nothing. What should my first move be to determine the cause? Breakers are fine. My dishwasher has just satred leaving a white haze, almost a dust on the dishes. This especially bad on plastic dishes. I took it into a repair guy and he said my element was causing this. After spending $140 for a new element and waiting 3 weeks I still have white dust. What else could it be?

Engine starts easy. engine revs up and down but does not maintain a constant. Preasure tries to come up and then quits. the governor eeps moving back and forth. I have cleaned everything including the unloader. I used lithium grease on the o rings and still it does the same. Could this be caused by bad gas, even though it starts and runs very easy

Dishwasher filling up and over flowing. switch to turn on pump comes on late or when I manually put pressure on drain. Have hard water and found much scale. could sensor/float scale cause this? Thinking about filling with white vinegar and letting sit so I don't have to take apart. Thoughts?

Washer stopped mid-cycle, water in the bottom of the tub. Circuit breaker popped due to over-load. Reset breaker and it immediately popped again. Could this be cause by a jam in the grinder assembly?

I just bought a used Kenmore standalone dishwasher and ran it for the first time. The dishes on the top did not get clean and the soap did not come out of the closed soup dish. at one point I took a shower and was wondering if that might have influenced the water pressure enough to cause the problem. Is the soap supposed to open during the wash and could the poor water pressure prevent the top shelf from getting properly washed?

The inlet filter is probably clogged. Try letting it fill up. Open the door to stop it right after it starts to wash Pour a gallon or two of hot water in and see it it works better Stop and do this everytime it goes to fill up. If the door opens ... Dishwashers
