Dishwasher that broke and started leaking

\015 I have a dishwasher that broke and started leaking with out our knowledge. After time the floor tiles began to pop up. As soon as this happened we took action. Removed the cover on the front of the dishwasher and found water all over the bottom, underneath the dishwasher. Water was coming from under the cabinets, we pulled up the tiles and found the floor board was soaked. We called the plumper and determined that the washer was broken, When you turned it on and it ran, water began to shoot out from the bottom of the dishwasher.\015\012We turned off the water line and took pictures. The plumber said the dishwasher was bad and needed a new one, insurance would not cover this due to appliance. No problme. But he said that the floor, tile, what ever was effected from the water should be. We needed to call State Farm and get some estimates. I called adn they gave me the company they utilized for this type of work, they came out the next day.\015\012The floor still soaked from the waster, and smell of a musty floor was bad. He estimated that the sub-floor needed to be replaced and the tile. The cabinets would need to come out to determine if there was damage there, along with forming of mold. Wow that was allot to my wife and I. We never knew this was happening and it caused all this damage.\015\012Now for the part that is causing me issues. We called the insurance agent back after discussing with the contractor, that a claims adjuster needed to look at this damage. We opened a claim with our agent an they said to give it a couple of hours to get into there system, so a adjuster can be assigned. WE did as instructed. A agent called us on Monday 03/23/09 said she would be out the next day at 8:30.. \015\012She had a big attitude problem with my wife, stating that since this had been going on for some time that it most likely wouldn't be covered. That if mold was building up, this too was a signal that this was going on for a long time.\015\012None of this was true. WE called as soon as we knew there was a problem. Her attitude on the phone with me was, you should have know this and it will not be covered. I told her that she shouldn't come out to my house with this type of attitude, over the phone to her. That she understands that we didn't know this was happening. As the plumber also said to us, how would you know until the water started coming up from the floor and cabinets. It only happened when the dishwasher ran.\015\012She came out and took pictures, measured and notes.. Said she would call my plumber and get his input. She did and the plumber call me back that afternoon. Stated that she had a big attitude problem with him. Stating that we should have known this was happening and should have not gotten this bad. He stated back to her, the owner never knew this was going on, how could they. I only happened when the dishwasher was running. IT took time for the floor to get soaked to a point it could only run out from under the tile and cabinets.\015\012What do we do if they come back and say that they are not going to honor the insurance policy.. This seems to fit all the web posting of leaks caused by dishwasher, should be covered.. Do I call her boss, file a complaint. call the Insurance government and file a claim against Stater Farm.. WE are at odds on what to do. The plumber and contractor both state this should be covered by State Farm, I don't have the estimates back yet, but I'm thinking this is going to cost thousands of dollars to fix.\015\012Please give me your advise.\015\012Curt\015

Dishwasher leaking Our dishwasher all of a sudden started leaking. I've taken the front panel off the door and can see exactly where. It's not a hole or anything...it's at the front, left edge of the basin, the bottom left corner at the front. It seems that right after it fills with water, it starts to leak once water is moving around inside and washing cycle starts. It is as if big waves are being pushed to the front left corner and over the lip of the basin. I don't think the water level is to

KitchenAid KUDI10FL dishwasher- The door spring system broke and I repaired it, but now all of the sudden the dishwasher will not start. The door may have been dropped a couple of time before the spring system was repaired, but it did not hit the floor, just a hard sudden stop. All of the cycle setting lights come on when they are pressed except for the start button. Just before the start button stopped working the dishwasher started by itself or started several hours after cycle selection had b

My 14 yr old Magic Chef Model DU4K seems to be leaking (it is dripping into the basement just under where the dishwasher is located). it started when the arm at the bottom of the dishwasher did not seem to be moving so my husband took off the bottom "grill" to see if maybe there was something under there preventing it from spinning. It started to leak when he put it all back together (the bottom arm is still not spinning)

I turned the dishwasher off at the power point and have cleaned up the leak. Have I damaged my dish washer? How do I fix it?

Dishwasher leaking We bought our dishwasher in Sep/07, it was fine for a year, then started leaking out the bottom of the door on the left. We had the seal on the door replaced (didn't work) and then the door gasket replaced. That worked for less than a year, now it is leaking again in the same place. What could be going on? Have already put $400.00 repairs into this machine and am reluctant to put more money in to have it break again the same way. What do you suggest?

This sounds like a hinge problem to start with.\015\012\015\012Test the seal by dragging a strip of paper through it with door closed. I have a Kenmore Model 665.15955792 dishwasher. Water is leaking out the bottom of the door. I changed the door seal and the defusers but it continued. I had my dishwasher installed in December. Thought it was leaking but couldn't catch it in action since it didn't start in the early part of the cycle. Now it leaks through the bottom of the door but it is on and off. However, when it leaks it leaks a lot. They sent repair person twice. Did not leak. This is a new kitchen and I have not installed a sink or countertops because I want the leaks to stop first.
