Need to know what kind of noise. could be something caught in the pump. when does the noise occur relative to the full cycle. is it a rattle that happens once in a while, or constant when the pump is running.
while thinking about this, check the drain filter in the bottom and make sure there is nothing visible there.

Hi I have a mdb6601awb maytag dishwasher. Sometimes when it starts the wash cycle it will make a loud squelling noise. Then if you pull on the handle and stop it, the machine will start and sometimes the noise will be gone. Or you may have to do this 3 or 4 times before it will stop making the squelling noise. I do notice when I pull up on the handle to stop the machine it makes some clicking noises and then the noise goes away. Thank You for any help you may be able to give me!!!

Hello, I have an LG-2120WHU and it has been making strange loud noises when washing for some time now. Then I tried running some anti-lime through a washing program and gradually, after several washes, it seemed to lessen the noise, but yesterday the dishwasher suddenly made a very loud noise and the I decided to try a special cleaning liquid from Neophos. Strangely it seemed as if the loud noises would slowly diminish, but in stead loud sqeaking noises started to appear and after I had run th

My kenmore/whirlpool dishwasher makes a noise, sort of a grinding noise, throughout most of the cycle. I have removed the pump and motor thinking that their might be something in the pump, but there is nothing there. My guess is that the motor is making the noise, but I do not know how to tell other than by replacing the motor and seeing if the noise goes away.

KUDK01ILBS5), SN: FR2702809. Have used this machine 6 years and just recently experienced noise that I eventually traced down to a bad recirculation pump bearing that failed due to a small leak in the shaft seal. Installed a new pump on Friday, 4/21/10 and that particular noise is now quieted. While the bearing noise was gone, there remains a pumped water noise that is quieted by manually adding about 1/2 gallon of water within the machine. So I now believe the water level is low, possib

Washer makes a grinding noise while running in the wash cycle. I've confirmed the rotors in the unit are not hitting anything inside the tube. The noise seems to be coming from the drive mechanism underneath. The washer continues to clean the dishes in spite of the noises, but the noises are a bother.

You will likely have to remove the pump motor from underneath to solve your problem. Try removing the lower spray arm assembly down to the deck and check the pump impeller for noises. Grinding Noise This dishwasher, the "quiet power II", makes quite a loud racket while in wash mode. I would call it a grinding noise. Sometimes, I can hit the front of it and it will stop, other times not so. And even sometimes, we can do two or three loads and the noise doesn't happen. (not often)

I have just moved into a home with the DS-603i and used it for the first time. Turn on & off at power and it doesn't change the noises. The light on inside indicates rince, which i think is a F1 error code according to the manual online. Any tips on how to fix this?

The F1 error code indicated a leak problem. The noise that you hear is from the pump motor. There is a leak due to the top lid not sealed properly, so the water is shooting out during the wash cycle. Kitchenaid Dishwasher model # KUDS25SHBS1 has started making noise. Noise happens when unit is draining so perhaps its the same mechanism that houses the grinder. Can definetly hear a clicking as something spins around to drain the unit. Noise is getting louder as more draining cycles are being utilized (i.e. as we use the machine more). Anyone have

My KitchenAid dishwasher (model KUD101TJWH0) suddenly is making noise from the motor area while inputing water into the unit, whether in the rinse or washing cycles but makes no noise in the draining cycles. When the water should be filling or rinsing the machine is making a horrible, loud, noise and no water is coming out. The solutions I looked at for no water don't mention this noise - they mention a slight hum. This noise is as loud as a TV turned up almost all the way! This happened during a cycle - the wash ran fine and it got to the rinse and started this.

Dishwasher makes grinding noise during wash cycle (after pre-wash). noise persists for 15-20 minutes. It seems as though the inlet valve doesn't open during this phase of the cycle. adding water to the dishwasher manually eliminates the noise and water circulates through the wash arms. I'm trying to determine if this is a controller issue or a valve/pump issue.

Noisy dishwasher my Kenmore quietguard 4 has developed an exceptionally loud hum/buzzing noise seemingly coming from the door of the dishwasher, when closed, locked and put on either drain or wash cycle. If the unit is allowed to sit for 1-2 days, the drain cycle will empty the tub without the buzzing noise starting. Bosch SHV46C Bosch dishwasher (SHV46C13UC) doesn't "start". When I start the cycle, it makes a noise but doesn't fill with water. Humming noise i have a GE nautilus GSD2200 model which has not been used more than 4 years that is giving me trouble.  it's making a loud humming noise (the noise comes and goes, comes and goes) which seems to be coming from the motor area at the bottom of the unit.  I stopped it in the middle of the cycle, but the water seems to be stagnant at the bottom.  any suggestion on fixing the problem myself?
