Having problems with your LG 24 in. LDS 5811ST Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher ?

OE Error We have LG dishwasher which gives an OE error. This was an error 6 months ago and this was under warranty. They had to change the pump. Now it is not under warranty. I checked for clogging in the drain pipe where it connects to the garbage disposal. Could not find a problem. This dishwasher is nothing but trouble. Any ideas/suggestions?

You do not have an "OE" error, it is actually a "DE" error. (Drain error) If after 5 minutes of drain time the pump motor RPM's haven't gone up the dishwasher knows that there is still water in the tub and throws the "DE" error. Often times the problem is the controller, but I have found more often that the problem is a long and/or restricted drain line. If someone had to extend the drain hose to reach a drain the extra resistance from the splice and pushing all the extra water in the long drain line prevents the dishwasher from pumping out within the time limit.

\015\012In some cases it is possible to correct this condition by first making sure the drain hose has a high loop to prevent siphoning, then running the drain line through the floor and into an open trap. (again, to prevent siphoning) Do not use extensions on the dishwasher drain hose supplied with the unit.
Yes, we also had this problem but fortunately purchased a three year extended warrantee when we bought it. Matt, poor Matt the technician came out SEVERAL times to work on it--twice had received broken parts from LG---replaced the pump and motor twice! We finally got store credit to buy a new machine----a Kitchen Aid this time---my LG washer/dryer and fridge are great but the more I research the more I find the dishwasher was a lemon for more than a few people. I also wonder if it is either a faulty sensor or something in the control board. My advice? With the money you spend on a machine like that, another 80.00 to 100.00 for an extended warrantee would be a wise move, viewing my own experience and now seeing that we were not the only ones to have so much trouble with this particular dishwasher!

Once my dishwasher completed the cycle there is no water but after two or three days the bottom of the dishwasher fills with the dirty water. what could be the reason? I have garbage disposal and one pipe from the dishwasher connect to garbage disposal.

You must have your dishwasher connected directly to the garbage disposal and not through an air gap. What is happening is when you disposal fills with water it is siphoning through the drain hose back to the dishwasher. If you sink has a spare hole o ... Frigidaire 24 in. Our 2 month old Frigidaire FGHD2433KF1 dishwasher is producing a very strong foul odor. It is not connected to a garbage disposal and we only see a small amount of water in the bottom of tub when the dishwasher is off. When I use the sanitize cycle, it seems that the smell is even more intense, not sure if that could be do to a small amount of steam escaping on the highest setting ? We have no idea what to check any suggestions would be much appreciated

Do you have it connected to an air gap? If not this can allow the water to drain back into the dishwasher and will sometimes have food particles in it making it stink. ... Dishwashers

When I replaced my garbage disposal I forgot to remove the knockout tab that would have allowed my my bosch SHE58C05UC dishwasher to drain into the disposal. I discovered my error the first time I ran my dishwasher and discovered that none of the water had drained. I then removed the knockput plug and reattached the drain line. My dishwasher now drains correctly but makes a loud sound whenever the pump turns on. Have I ruined my pump or is there something I can do to eliminate the loud noisy pum

My Kenmore Elite UtraWash Dishwasher won't drain completely. We have checked the hoses (water supply and drain connected to the disposal) - both are free of obstructions. We have taken the whole thing apart but can't get the plastic cover off to access the motor or "garbage disposal thingy" inside the dishwasher. All of the bolts were taken out, but it was still firmly attached. Didn't want to force it and potentially make the problem worse. Any suggestions before I call Sears Repair people

I have a not quite 2 year old Kenmore dishwasher model #665.1322.(I believe built by Whirlpool) The motor has burnt out. Anyways - we have no warranty so we thought we would try to replace th motor - but I can't find anything online. My dishwasher will not drain after cycling. I have check the drain hose connected to the disposal. All is in good order the hose is not cinked and the air hole is unblocked. I have also checked the screen at the bottom of the dishwasher, there is no debris or blockage here either. I can run the dishwasher on normal, it cycles but I still have stagnat water left beneath the bottom rack. How do I check my pump to see if it is working or could it be a short of some kind? The problem is a solenoid under the unit. It is a small black cylinder that operates a valve to change from the wash cycle to the drain cycle. You can probably order a new one from Kenmore for pretty cheap. ... Kenmore 24 in. 15252 / 15254 / 15259 Built-in Dishwasher

We have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher (#MDBTT 60AWB) that is in a house we recently bought. A few days ago it worked, but now it won't turn on. We checked the plug that goes into the outlet and it is plugged in. Yesterday we did have a plumber come out and unjam the garbage disposal. I don't know if that could be the source. Is there a reset button on the dishwasher? Basically there is no power going to the dishwasher. Any suggestions?

Leaking dishwasher My GE dishwasher leaks when running a load of dishes. The leak seems to be coming from about the middle of the tub about halfway back. I can't see exactly where it's coming from, but it appears to be dripping right behind the motor. Could it be a poor connection? I would appreciate any suggestions.
