Having problems with your LG Dishwashers ?

I own a build-in LG Stainless Dishwasher (modle: LDF1178ST). It stopped draining water during its recent startup due to its idle (no operation) for about a year:). I can only feel the hose full of water by touching the drain hose between the washer and the sink desposal. It's hard to check other part of dish washer since it's built in our cabinet. Could any dishwasher expert help to advise how to trouble shoot or fix this problem. Thanks, Alex Chen 571-220-7484

There is a float in the bottom of the dishwasher that tell the motor to turn on and pump out the water. I would check the float first to see if it is hung up and not raising to tell the dishwasher that there is water in the base. Check the check valve in between the drain and the pump. Check the timer there shoul be a pause between the rinse and drain cycle. The pump motor solenoid should make a clunk sound after the pause and before the drain cycle. Does the motor come on at all during the drain cycle?
Check the pump inlet screen inside for calcuim buildup.
\015\012Can you hear the pump running?

Our dishwasher had to be removed. In reconnecting it to the water supply under the sink, the plumber could not keep it from leaking. I think there was a rubber washer that got lost during the disconnect/connect procedure. He then proceeded to gut off the end of the PEX hose which has a ridge and the last 1/2 inch is a little smaller than the hose. Now he says we need to order a new PEX hose from the factory. The PEX hose is too big to fit into the fitting. Cannot a normnal flex hose for thi

I have a Neff built in dishwasher, model S44T09N3GB. When I set the program, it appears to be working on the screen but it does not take in any water. I have full water supply elsewhere in the house but it is below freezing outside - could it be a frozen pipe? Also, even before the water failed to enter the washer, it hasn't been cleaning dishes - they come out feeling chalky and aren't shiny.

I have tried the manufacturer's hose they provided and two spare i have in my cupboard. I even went out and bought some 3/4" washers and added extra washers to the inlet hose, but it still leaks. Miele dishwasher makes grinding noise when turned on, there is a light on front next to inlet/drain. So I poured some boiling water into the dishwasher and then left it turned on and could feel the boiling water coming out of the drain hose so I am assuming it is an inlet problem, as it will drain but will not fill or otherwise work. There are a few small cracks in the outer hose of he inlet hose just below the grey box thing, could that be enough to cause the problem? They are only small so I di

My dish washer isn't cleaning the dishes well. There are little particals inside of every cup and on dishes after it is done. I just emptied and and now I'm running it with bleach. But before I started it I looked at the drain hose under the sink. The drain hose had water in it. The drain hose is going uphill from the dishwasher to the sink so I don't know if this is normal to have some water in the drain hose when the washer completes since it's not would have to pump uphill to get to the garba

We just hooked up our old built in GE dishwasher and the water is shooting out the left side of the unit where the black water hose enters the tub. Shouldn't the water be entering into the wash arm? When we do not use the dishwasher for a week or more water seems to back up into the tub. The water has a foul smell to it and can be as much as an inch or so deep. The dishwasher drain hose is attached to an insinkerator disposal. By the way this dishwasher is only a couple of months old and we have had to have it serviced three times. No one has been able to explain the water accumulation and it can not be demonstrated unless the washer sits unused for a while.

Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied.
