Error code LE - LG LDF6810ST Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

Answers :

LE indicates a fault with the motor on the appliance.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012LG suggest you switch off, wait for a minute, unplug the appliance.
\015\012
\015\012Wait 15 minutes then plug it back in again.
\015\012
\015\012Try the machine again.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012If it's still faulty, you can try changing the Hall Sensor in the motor, this can sometimes cure the problem.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012Unplug the machine and remove the rear cover. There are 4 Philips head screws. Take them out and remove the rear cover.
\015\012
\015\012You should now see the rear of the motor, which is mounted to the back of the drum.
\015\012
\015\012In the middle is a large bolt which holds the stator cover.
\015\012
\015\012You'll need a 17mm socket and a ratchet to remove this bolt.
\015\012
\015\012Remove the stator cover and place aside.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012Toward the bottom-left, you will see a couple of wire bunches held to \015\012the motor by three screws. One holds a metal bracket, one actually holds\015\012 a ground wire, and the last is through a plastic bracket toward the \015\012bottom. Remove these three screws and don't lose them.
\015\012
\015\012Through the motor there are 6 bolts holding it onto the back of the drum assembly.
\015\012
\015\012You'll need a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove them.
\015\012
\015\012You will now have the motor off the back of the drum.
\015\012
\015\012Disconnect the two wire harnesses from the motor.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012Looking at the surface of this motor that was facing the DRUM (not the \015\012outside), you'll see two small pieces clipped onto it, toward the \015\012bottom.
\015\012
\015\012The sensor you are looking to replace is the one that looks like a kitchen magnet.
\015\012
\015\012It is attached by small clips. You'll see how it goes on. It's easy to remove.
\015\012
\015\012Go to google and search for part number 6501KW2002A.
\015\012
\015\012This will bring up an LG sensor assembly.
\015\012
\015\012Double check with the supplier that this is the sensor for your appliance.
\015\012
\015\012When you receive the sensor, simply reverse steps 1 through 5.
\015\012
\015\012Once re assembled, try the machine again.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012If still the same after this you'll need to replace the motor and/or control board.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012Is this a new installation?
\015\012
\015\012In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a \015\012miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this \015\012instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.
\015\012
\015\012Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
\015\012
\015\012Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
\015\012
\015\012Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012Has a large load size been used with a gentle wash setting?
\015\012
\015\012Gentle wash cycles such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and \015\012Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because the cycles are \015\012more gentle while tumbling and spinning, too many items in the drum can \015\012register as an issue with the motor. In this instance reset the unit and\015\012 run a test rinse and spin cycle.
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012Has the washer been overloaded?
\015\012
\015\012Single bulky items or large loads can add extra weight to the drum and \015\012place stress on the motor. Remove some of the clothing and restart. If \015\012the issue is still present after a few items have been removed, unplug \015\012the washer for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool and then restart \015\012the cycle.
\015\012
\015\012NOTE: Make sure the drum is not overloaded
\015\012
\015\012Are there soap suds visible in the drum?
\015\012
\015\012Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high \015\012efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the \015\012motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. \015\012Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.
\015\012
\015\012Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
\015\012
\015\012Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
\015\012
\015\012Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
\015\012
\015\012Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
\015\012
\015\012Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing \015\012items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and \015\012Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds \015\012and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds \015\012are in the drum of the washer.
