Having problems with your LG LDF9810ST Built-in Dishwasher ?

I have a LDF9810ST that I'm trying to replace a broken drain line. The old part number is AEM39700301 and the new part number is AEM69493803. The new part is made with a plastic u-shape plastic piece with a black hose that comes off the top of the u-shape plastic. Where does the black hose go?

Hey Glenn. Did you ever figure it out? I am about to replace my mother's hose since it cracked and I am looking at the service manual -but am I little stumped. I don't have the dishwasher in front of me with the part so I can't explore the options.

Also, where did you buy your part? Looks like Repair Clinic is one of the few places to have it in stock. $36.. ouch!!!

Tried to replace it with a universal model from Home Depot and it doesn't fit. Seems the LG uses a smaller outlet on the pump than others AND they have engineered a one way valve in the hose instead of the pump..

I have the same model and am just waiting for the fun to begin on mine too.

I will guarantee you that I will NEVER purchase another LG appliance again. Between non standard parts and crappy reliability, it's been a very poor customer experience to date.

I am replacing the drain hose on my LG Dishwasher LDS5811BB. The new hose they gave me has an additional piece connected onto the hose. I don't know what it is or what it is for. The original drain hose was composed soley of a gray hose with the to end connectectors. This new hose is similar with an additional white, hard plastic, U-shaped hose with a black hose extending off the end of the U-shaped end. Is this an air gap extension, and if so, what do I connect it to or can I cap it off?

We just hooked up our old built in GE dishwasher and the water is shooting out the left side of the unit where the black water hose enters the tub. Shouldn't the water be entering into the wash arm? The hose isn't clogged. It attaches to a white plastic piece that is part of the unit itself. The water is entering both the tub but also shooting out of 2 slits approx 1 1/2" each. located right below where u attach the hose.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The upper spray arm on our dishwasher has become detached from the back of the machine, and there is no obvious means of reattaching it. Are there some clips perhaps that have snapped on the part which attaches to the back wall of the d/washer (part number PP-TD20 - it's a 4 by 1 1/2 inch long rectangular shape with rounded ends) or does this piece somehow need to be taken apart (how - i can't see how i might do this?) and the transparent 2nd layer underneath get attached first?
