My dishwasher leaks from the door bottom even after replacing the door seal.

Hi,

At the bottom front of the dishwasher, near the floor, there is a metal kick panel that can be removed. This will allow you to see under the dishwasher so you can see if there is any water puddling from possible leaks. You will see where the drain hose connects to the dishwasher; check the connections for tightness.

If possible, try to briefly run the dishwasher and have it fill with water, so that you can look for the leak(s). You may find that the gasket that holds the motor to the dishwasher is leaking. If so, replace the gasket by removing the motor. I can further help with this, if you find that this gasket is leaking.

If you see no puddling underneath, let the dishwasher go thru the drain cycle to see if the drain hose connection is leaking or if it is possibly cracked.

If you know that the water definitely leaks through the dishwasher door, the door gasket could be faulty. Open the door and examine the gasket. It should be soft and resilient. If it's worn, cracked, or hard, it should be replaced. It is not a hard job and you can find a new gasket at your local appliance parts store, or online. If you bend the gasket back, you should see several screws or retaining clips holding it in place. These screws or clips are removed to take out the gasket.

Once the gasket is in place, check it for fit against the door frame. It should fit tightly with no cracks or bulges between the gasket and the frame. If necessary, tighten or loosen the retaining screws, or refit the gasket in the clips or the door channel. Then run the machine through a washing sequence and check for leaks.

If you spot a leak, and the gasket seems to be properly in place, try adjusting the door latch. The trick is to position the gasket against the frame of the door without flattening the gasket or squeezing it too flat when the door is latched properly. Adjust the latch or the gasket until it fits snugly against the door frame.

Sometimes the gasket around the soap dispenser, located on the door can leak, which allows water to get inside of the door and make its way out. this gasket can be replaced, as well.

If the tub is filling too high, the float switch may need to be replaced; this tells the unit when to shut the water off. The float part of the switch can be lifted up and down to see if it is moving freely and the switch itself can be tested with a multi-meter.

If you do not see any water in the tub after a wash then the unit is draining properly.

Let me know, if need further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi. I have an LG LDF7810 dishwasher. I did a deep clean and ended up taking out a bunch of grease from the seal between the door-bottom and the tub. I even removed the door to get at the grease I thought was trapped back there. Dishwasher leaking We bought our dishwasher in Sep/07, it was fine for a year, then started leaking out the bottom of the door on the left. We had the seal on the door replaced (didn't work) and then the door gasket replaced. That worked for less than a year, now it is leaking again in the same place. What could be going on? Have already put $400.00 repairs into this machine and am reluctant to put more money in to have it break again the same way. What do you suggest?

I don't have a model number right now, but the front door on my Admiral dishwasher is leaking at the bottom. I have changed the gasket inside the door panel at the bottom but it still leaks.
