Having problems with your Maytag Dishwashers ?

Main water switch has fallen out it still works but where dose it plug in

Answers :

\015\012Not sure which water switch you are reffering to, is it the water inlet valve or something else.
The valve is located behind the Support and Toe Panel, mounted to the left side of the Tub Support. Inlet water supply to the valve is directly below the valve.
NOTE: Turn off water supply to the Dishwasher before servicing this component.
The valve is designed to operate at water pressures of 15 -120 psi.
NOTE: Low water pressure will affect the ability of the Water Valve to properly fill Tub in the required amount of time.
\015\012Hope this helps...

As you never mentioned the model number, let me take one of the models on which this problem is common :-

Look at Part 14 - That is the location of water switch.

If the above link would not help at all, kindly revert with model number, so that i could let you know the location.

Thanks and Regards

My Whirlpool Gold Series 980 dishwater no longer fills up with enough water to drive the washing arms, so the dishes do not come out clean. I cleaned the filter on the water intake valve (which was really clogged) and it still did the same thing. Replaced the inlet valve and still no change. The water does not reach the level of the overfill float switch, so that’s not it. Its been working fine for 4-5 years, what else could it be? Thank you.

My Bosch dishwasher Model SHE44C02UC just went completley dead while washing. My wife and I were in the living room and heard a ''pop'' and went to investigate. We discovered the dishwasher was completely dead with no lights on at all. The on/off switch does not work. I checked the breaker and it is okay. Also the disposal is also on this circuit and it still works so I know the circuit is okay. There is still water in the bottom of the dishwasher - no suds - so it may have been in a rinse cycle

After replacing my garbage disposal, my dishwashr stopped working. I did forget to remove the stop plug from the disposal unit. But even after doing this the unit still does not work. It does turn on but no water drains out. In addition when using the sink it appears that some water may be getting into the dishwasher.

Hi can you help me please I have a Zanussi DX6453 dishwasher which has stopped working. Having used the diagnostic facility it has come up with anti flood device, I have done the usual rocking the machine back and forth no sign of water. Normal wash cycle- tub fills (?), then comes a loud hummmm and nothing happens. I noticed water level didn't reach heater coil and added water until limiter switch clicked. Still just a loud hummmm. Machine was well into its regular cycle when this first occurred, but now, won't even get past initial fill. Pushing the "Cancel/drain" button activates motor and pump: they work fine.

My Bosch Classixx is not filling with water and no sound of the pump trying to work either. I fiddled around with it as it was not cleaning bowls properly on the bottom shelf - plates and cutlery were fine! Think I might have disturbed the round dome thing - is this the "float switch"? There is also about an inch in the bottom of the filter area which I have cleaned out of gunk but still with water there. Any ideas please!

I started working with the Karcher KB4040 pressure washer and all was well for 1-2mins, then it sputered a bit and all power died. All hoses were still attached properly, it hadn't blown a fuse in my house and the fuse in the plug of the washer is working fine. When I switch it on I get nothing. Do you think the motor has packed in? I borrowed the machine from my neighbour who's away on holiday, so don't know much about age of the machine. Any advice much appreciated.

I have a Neff Dishwasher and I think the problem is due to the cold water inlet valve. When the dishwasher starts it drains any water and then should stat to fill. If I monitor the voltage to the valve it does switch to 240V but still fails to fill. I have verified that the cold supply works OK and the filter on the inlet is clean. The dishwasher is a NEFF GB5121 and is about 20 Years old.

On an AEG Favorit 64570 VI we have an error 20. Manual indicates a drainage problem, however when we pour in water, it gets pumped out without a problem. No obstructing in the exhaust tube. Next we checked the pressure sensor, by taking it out and blowing into it. It clicked as pressure was applied to it, so the inner switch worked. Everything is clean, but still we get an error 20. What does seem strange is that the appliance does not take in water. Any suggestions are welcome.
