Hello. to remove the lower panel you will need a phillips head screwdriver and a flashlight. get right down there and you will see that it is attached with screws. remove them and the front panel will come right off.

\015\012Regarding your water not draining issue. Begin by disconnecting the rubber drain hose, and the small pump at the low end of that hose. Examine for debris and remove it. Next inspect the trap under the kitchen sink and the garbage disposal if that is included. Chances are you will find a blockage.

Kenmore Elite: - Stale smell from dishwasher, won't go away, lingers on dishes, glasses. I tried a vinegar remedy suggested by a diy site - it helps for a cycle or two, but the smell comes right back. Diy site suggested taking apart the dishwasher to see if there is food trapped: there always remains a little water at the end of each cycle - but I'm concerned about taking apart my dishwasher if there is another solution. Smell doesn't smell of food to me. What do you think? Hollie Smith

After wash cycles are completed there is about 1/2 gallon of water remaining in the bottom of the washer. I checked the drain that exits into a disposal and that is clear. All around the bottom of the washer base is clean and I can find no obstruction. Nothing in the owners manual gives me a clue as what else to do. I don't want to start taking things apart unless I have to.

I have a three-year-old Sears Kenmore Elite dishwasher. I find that despite the fact that we scrape and rinse our dishes before loading the machine, after each three months of use (two loads a day) or so, I have to take the machine apart (spray tower, racks, bottom impeller, bottom screen housing, food grinder cover) and clean-out the food grinder area, for it fills-up with sludge. The sludge restricts the water flow and there isn't enough flow to turn the impellers via that steering jets.

The fuse in the plug keeps blowing. Initially it would run for a while - sometimes 3 or 4 cycles - before blowing. It now blows the fuse the second that I plug in to the socket, even with the on/off button on the front of the dishwasher set to off.I'm keen to take it apart, but it's full of water as it blew mid-cycle. Is there a clever way to empty the machine without the power being on, or do I need bits of hose and sponges?A schematic blow up would also be extremely helpful.

Model 587784100 My 18inch Kenmore apartment-sized portable dishwasher leaks when running and needs a new main rubber gasket (where the door seals the washer), and a new collar of some sort of white hard plastic collar at the very bottom of the spinning washer arm (which I believe helps make it spin more freely and not "chatter"?)
