Maytag model dwu9200aax pieces of plastic and cloth clog some of the rinse holes on the spinning rinse part..how to take apart rinse arm to clean it?

Answers :

The top spinner part can simply be pulled off by grasping it near its hub and pulling downward. Push it back on and push in the locking clip in the center. \015\012The bottom spinner can be removed, First unscrew the center column. Hold the spinner with one hand, turn the base of the center column counter clockwise. Then lift column off. Then the spinner should lift off of the keyed white plastic base. Underneath it, on the neck off of which you lifted it, are two plastic washers that form a seal (supposedly). Good to clean these to make spinner rotate freely, but be careful not to break them taking them off. \015\012If you want to go farther in, there is the point of a strange shaped plastic nut sticking up into the base of the column. If you remove this, and the 6 torx screws holding the strainer cap, you can get it all out to clean it up (I had bits of plastic bag in the slots of a 4-armed thing that apparently sprays the filter screen), and scrub the washer in the bottom. Remarkably yucky down there in a 10 year old installation...
Dishwasher was taken out during renovation. Contractor hooked back up to the cold water line and the dishwasher will not heat. Should it be hooked to the hot water supply? Checked all electrical connections but heater will not heat. Do you have a answer? It heated before removal and reinstall.

I have an LG ldf7811st dishwasher. My bottom arm spins with water, my middle arm does not spin but does have water coming out, and my top arm doesn't spin or have water. I have just finished taking apart the arms, the supply to the upper arms, the filters and the impeller. I cleaned everything and nothing really seemed clogged. I have tested it since and it still has the same problem. I know that they aren't spinning because i placed them in a certain position before i ran the test run. They

My dishwasher filter keeps getting plug up with large food particles. I take it apart and clean the screen. It works for a 2-3 -4 weeks before I have to do it again. There is a spinning fan on the screen. I'm wondering if this scrapper fan is working at all. If it was I think it would keep the small screen free from particles. The first thing that happens is the top cleaning arm stops working.' Thanks

Hi Judy. The only way to know for sure is to power up the fan independent of the machine and see if it still works. Dishwasher just started leaving food residue on dishes after washing. We usually don't rinse beforehand but even when we do this it's still happening. Can I run something thru a cycle to give the washer a good clean out? I have a three-year-old Sears Kenmore Elite dishwasher. The sludge restricts the water flow and there isn't enough flow to turn the impellers via that steering jets.
