Having problems with your Miele G880 Dishwasher ?

I have a Miele G 892 Dishwasher and recently the vent for the Turbotronic drying fan has been sticking in open position at the ned of the cycle. Teh result is the next cycle the vent fills with dirty water that extresses onto the floor whn you next open the door.

You have the Miele problem.

This happens \012every year or two. Take off the outside front panel to access the hose \012that runs from the bottom of the fan down to the dispenser, and lets the\012 water drain out through it to the interior. Clean out that hose as well\012 as you can. Replace. This is a stupid problem that Miele should have a \012permanent fix for. Grrrr.

In fact I just did this with mine \012today. The hose cleans out quickly, the problem is getting the front \012back on. 4 hands make it easier. It slips on when you start close to \012vertical, then slip in in and down. For putting the screws back in, you \012might have to use a micro screwdriver to re-align the little clips on \012the door panel. (You will see what I mean when you do it!) This costs a \012service call ($100, give or take) to call for service. It can be done at\012 home with no added parts. I think it applies to all Miele dishwashers, \012and I have now done it several times. As I said before, this is a design\012 fault and should not be necessary!
You'll have to take the door panel apart. There's a small drain hose between the turbothermic unit and the detergent dispenser. It's most likely clogged.

Dish washer does not drain after the cycle is complete. The last few months when the dishwasher is done their would be a small amount of water left in the bottom. Cranky dishwasher I have to admit my wife's solution is the only one that works. Our ten-year-old Superba built-in usually starts a normal cycle part-way through, at the wash part, without filling or opening the dispenser door. Therefore the dishes come out with the soil now baked on. Closing the door, selecting normal and start results in a pump-out sound, or at least just the pump running to wash the dishes. Dishwasher Normally, after the dishwasher cleans the load, it displays green light next to clean. Once the door is opened, the light goes off an dishwasher is ready for next load. But from few days, after opening the dishwasher door, the clean light does not go off, it remains lit. Dishwasher doe snot reset for next cycle. So, I have to go in the basement and trip the main power to dishwasher. That resets the dishwasher. This needs to be done before each cycle. Not sure how to resolve the issue.

The diswasher will drain completely after the drain cycle is completed. It will then immediately begin to fill again despite no additional cycles being requested. I can hear the fill cycle begin. I can prevent the filling by opening the door slightly or by moving the float plunger up and away from the microswitch that signals to fill the bottom of the washer with water. Is there an adjustment on the float or on the length of the float plunger?
