Look for the connection from the valve to the inlet of diswasher. Check the hot water valve to be on. It is probably closed when anyone working on the plumping. Good luck.

Silly Dishwasher Hello, I have a huge problem with my less-that-12-hour-old Bosch SGS56E18GB. We are not generally thick people. We plumbed our dishwasher in, like we have plumbed in many appliances. Switched on the dishwasher for the first time and GREAT!!! Here we go! I can tell this is not going to be plain sailing. The dishwasher has already decided that it wishes to do the short cycle. (19/29mins or something) I Press on then off - no change. Reset, Off - on, still no change. So I decided t

Blanco BFDW6 dishwasher drains and sounds like it is going to start but stops after 2-3 seconds. Yesterday it was playing up and made a fairly small puddle on the floor. Electrics seem to have been a problem from early on as after a few months it would let me open it during the beginning of the cycle to add items without needing to restart program. I am not sure if problem is electric (may need a reset?) or due to anti-flood feature.

GE PDW7300 dishwasher - must slam the door shut to get a light on the panel and when the START button is pressed, it looks like the dishwasher is cycling thru a wash, but there is no water. When I press the START cycle again, it seems like it thinks its pumping the water out for a few minutes, then the light will go off. If I start it again and push really hard against the door, I can hear the water go on. But if I stop pushing the door, the water stops. The dishwasher was installed in 2001, but

My Bosch dishwasher has several problems: 1) Water doesn't completely drain out and dishwasher kind-of smells when I open it -- I do keep the filter very clean. 2) The dishwasher takes HOURS to go through one load, no matter what the time says on the display and no matter what type of cycle you choose -- quick, delicate or regular. 3) The red display often displays something that looks like "2h" at the beginning of the cycle. 4) The place where you put the detergent doesn't shut.

Incomplete cycle My Miele dishwasher (3 to 4 years old) finishes, leaving the dishes dirty and wet. It seems that it may only be running through part of the cycle - I'm not sure but from the time I set it going to the time it switches off, it seems shorter than usual. The dishwasher is not emptying as it has a pool of water in the bottom. I have tried various settings and have the same problem. the inlet/drain light DOES NOT come on. I have soaked up all the residue on the bottom and cleaned out

My Miele Platnum dishwasher is not working. It is flashing "intake/drain" When it begins instead of the normal hearing of water moving around you just hear a humming. My husband and father took out all the filters/baskets etc and made sure everything was cleaned out. They checked the hoses. After that it seemed like it was going to work because it started to cycle normally but now it is flashing again and this time there was water standing in the bottom of the dishwasher. Any thoughts?

Had my Maytag dishwasher for just over 2 years. Lately is has been making a loud grinding/vibrating noise - like something is stuck. I actually pulled out a piece of a plastic twist tie or something and thought I had solved the problem. Worked like a charm for a couple of days and suddenly the sound is back - and worse! I've read here that you should remove the bottom piece and make sure nothing is stuck before calling service. I'm the woman that's going to do this and could use some guidance ..

My dishwasher begins its cycle with a whirring noise, what sounds like the powder drawer then clicks open, but after that nothing happens. The water does not come in. The dial clicks round a couple more points, the machine 'whirrs' again, but still no water/washing action. The machine then just stops/cuts out. Is this a plumbing problem or an electrical problem?

Dishwasher Normally, after the dishwasher cleans the load, it displays green light next to clean. Once the door is opened, the light goes off an dishwasher is ready for next load. But from few days, after opening the dishwasher door, the clean light does not go off, it remains lit. Dishwasher doe snot reset for next cycle. So, I have to go in the basement and trip the main power to dishwasher. That resets the dishwasher. This needs to be done before each cycle. Not sure how to resolve the issue.

Kenmore dishwasher has loud noise during fill. If you let it go, the washer fills. Once filled, noise stops and wash cycle continues. Sounds like plumbing does when there is air in the pipes. Not a grinding sound. Very deep pitch. Stops when the washer fills with water.

This isn't a solution but rather a comment, if the problem is happening only during the fill, then it could be the water inlet valve. Perhaps there is a soliniod going in the valve, watch to see if the fill cycle starts to dimminish over time. Does t ... Kenmore Dishwashers
