Hi. My dishwasher won't let me move the latch into the locked position. When I turn the knob past the start cycle I hear a klunk noise. When looking at the latch it is obvious that there is a gold color piece of metal on top of and in front of the silver latch blocking it from moving sideways. Is this something I can fix on my own, or need a repairman or time for a new washer? The washer will be 5 years old in October. Thank you, KIm Martinez

Hi, I have a Miele G638 Plus dishwasher and the Red Inlet/Drain light comes on shortly after the wash cycle starts. I have cleaned everything out and the impellor moves freely. I have also made sure the outlet is clear. I have tried resetting and repeating on different washing cycles but it always locks out after the washing cycle starts. Could this be a heater problem as the element looks quite corroded? I have had side panels off and the water appears to flow easily through the sid

Blowing fuse... We've replaced the overheating fuse located in the control board area about 5 times. It has just blown again after using the dishwaser one time--before it would go about a month before blowing the fuse. It seems to get about a few minutes away from completing the wash cycle and does not complete the draining process. Help!! We don't know what to do next--replacing the fuse is costing about $15 each time, before you know it we could have bought a new one! Thanks for the help. Ti

Tim, this blown fuse issue was pretty common on this model. Whirlpool, which made this model came out with a fuse kit that included a terminal and heavier guage wire to eliminate this problem. It just splices right into the control board, easy job. T ... Kenmore 17024 Built-in Dishwasher

Hi I have a Bosch SGV46M13GB Classix dishwasher. Total cycle time is far greater than the displayed time and the water doesnt appear to be getting hot. I've checked the control board for any dry joints / damage etc - Nothing evident. Is there a wiring schematic available so I can check the voltage to the heater to confirm its the heater thats the problem before I purchase spares. Also, if I need to change the heater - Is there any guidance anywhere ?

We have an Hotpoint FDW70 Dishwasher that for some time has had an A10 fault which although stops the machine some times 70% of the time it does a full cycle. Heating element is not getting hot. do I need a thermal fuse or new element and how would I tell? Where is the thermal fuse located?

There are only a few brands, that are equipped with a thermal fuse. If your brand is equipped with a thermal fuse, it will be mounted on the back side of the main control sector. The control sector can be a timer module, or a control board assembly. ... Kenmore 24 in. 16032 Built-in Dishwasher
