Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. I have a Neff Dishwasher and I think the problem is due to the cold water inlet valve. When the dishwasher starts it drains any water and then should stat to fill. If I monitor the voltage to the valve it does switch to 240V but still fails to fill. I have verified that the cold supply works OK and the filter on the inlet is clean. The dishwasher is a NEFF GB5121 and is about 20 Years old.

My Siemens dishwasher SL34A sometimes makes loud vibration noises from the supply line at the water pump connection. I can turn off the water and back on it will quit, but sometimes starts again. And it does not matter how open or closed the supply line valve is either. I'm told it is likely the water pump, but this model has a combination water pump/motor assembly and I do not care to put another $230 into it. thx, TS.

Not getting enough water flow into the dishwasher, suspect that a filter is clogged due to recent work on the waterline in the kitchen sink. Need to know where the filter might be located (on the dishwasher or on the intake valve before the connection to the dishwasher hose)? Also would I need to disconnect the water supply to pull out the dishwasher for access to such a filter.

You didn't specify a brand but most dishwashers don't have a water "filter." They may have an inlet screen at the water valve, which is typically located under the dishwasher. Generally, the lower front panel will have to be removed and you should ... Dishwashers

I have a Delonghi dishwasher, it's a stand alone, like a washing machine. The water inlet is connected to the hot water tap, normally used for a washing machine. I want to disconnect the water supply. I am replacing this 12 year old slimline smeg dishwasher and they are coming to take it away to morrow. We have a Siemens dishwasher SE25M851. It had the check water light on, so we have checked all water flows which seem fine. There is what I think is an Aquastop connected to the water hose, which I have no idea if the problem is there, but when I now put the dishwasher on there is a burning smell coming out of it, so have had to turn off power supply. Can you shed any light to the problem?
