Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. David

Gendos is on track with his question. I have the same dishwasher and it doesn't get enough hot water to clean the dishes and runs for hours because the heating element wasn't designed to heat water, just maintain it. The only solution we have found ... Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

Our Whirlpool KUDP01ILBS2 dishwasher isn't working like it used to. Dishes seem to be getting partially clean, they aren't getting dry at all and it seems they may be being rinsed/washed with dirty water. There is plenty of water in the machine when I interupt the cleaning cycle. I always run the hot water in the sink before I start the dishwasher so the first water into the dishwasher is as hot as possible. Also the sani-rinse light is flashing when the cycle "completes".

Heat that is retained in the dishes is largely responsible for drying\015\012in this dishwasher. Since plastics do not retain heat very well, they\015\012will not dry as well as glasses, ceramics or metal dishes. Rinse aid\015\012must be used so that ... Dishwashers

It appears that the dishwasher is not getting enough water. I have made sure that there is nothing blocking the door area so that the soap can dispense and I have reduced the amount of detergent to maybe a 1/2 Tablespoon. Have tried both powder and liquid detergents. Ran a sani clean cycle with the Jet Dry product for dishwasher used in the rural. I also run the hot water in the sink prior to starting the dishwasher to ensure the water is hot when it comes into the dishwasher. The detergent

Kenmore dishwasher. The upper rack is not getting clean. Even very light residue remains. And, detergent is left in door at end of cycle. The bottom is filling up, so I don't think it's the intake valve. Also, all the blade openings appear clear. I am noticing that hot water is not filling the dishwasher when I first run the cycle. Even if I have hot water running in the sink, the dishwasher fills with cold or warm water. So, I think this is the problem. What should I do? Thank you in advance!

I find it odd that the dishwasher is filling with cold water if the water is hot at the sink. It sounds like the dishwasher is connected to the cold water line rather than the hot. Check under your sink; if you've got standard plumbing, the dishwas ... Dishwashers

I have a Delonghi dishwasher, it's a stand alone, like a washing machine. The water inlet is connected to the hot water tap, normally used for a washing machine. When we first started using the dishwasher, we kept getting the E4 error message, we reduced the water inlet pressure by turning down the tap, that worked for a while. Just a while ago, we started getting the E4 error message again, not sure we can turn down the tap any further without cutting the water off completely. Do you have a

The E4 error message could be because the water pressure is too low rather than too high. Can you let me know the exact model number of your dishwasher and I should be able to tell you more.\015\012\015\012Regards,\015\012BElectric ... Dishwashers

My dishwasher was moved for kitchen rennovations. When hooked back up again it would not fill up. It will run through a cycle but no water enters. If I squeeze the rubber hose that leads from the electronic valve to the tub it gets hot indicating that I am forcing hot water through the line. If I pour water into the tub it will wash the dishes but at the final 6 minute point it will go no further, I assume because it is not getting rinse water.

My Bosch diswasher is hanging up in the cycle (at 102 mins. in normal cycle and 38 mins in quick cycle). I hear what sounds like a one second pumping of water into the sink area, a pause, and then another one second pumping of water, on and on, but there's no progression beyond this point. One possible cause: a few weeks ago someone turned off the hot water at the heater and another person tried to run the dishwasher. The dishwasher did not function because it could not get hot water. FDW60 Fault Hi, I have exactly the same problem. My dishwasher starts and washes ok but appears to get very hot during the drying phase and then the two lights fast and eco flash warning of a heater problem. I suspect either the heater, thermostat or control PCB. As the rest of the cycle seems of and the water gets hot then I'm assuming the heater and thermostat are OK. When the dishwasher attempts to dry is when the problem starts. Did anyone find out what there fault was? Thanks

My tappan dishwasher is only 1 1/2 yr old and its not getting at least 1/2 of dishes clean. We have tried everything from changing to liquid soap, increasing water pressure at meter, not using while washing clothes. We used a dishwasher cleaner to remove calcium, and run hot water in sink before using. We know the wand, pump and drain are working. It is model TDB210RFB5 with 1.1A motor. Is the motor too small to clean dishes? I wish I could get my money back or exchange for an upgrade. Thanks!

The dishes are not getting clean because it doesn't seem to be hot enough to cut the grease.

Dishwasher issues dishwasher runs but water does not get hot and wash cycle continues endlessly until stopped or rest. Do I have a water heating element issue or a controlling PCB issue?

You should always turn the hot water faucet at the kitchen sink first before starting dishwasher. If you don't your entire wash is cold water. This will also cause the water temp mode to take forever to heat the water to the 140 that is factory set. ... Dishwashers

My Professional series dishwasher does not work properly. It is only 1.5 years old and glasses on top rack get sprayed with fine layer of particles every time I use it. Other items, top and bottom, are often not clean as well, but glasses are the hardest to re-clean. I have tried evacuating the water left at the bottom of the dishwasher before running, pre-running the hot water in the sink and ensuring that the disposal was run, removing and cleaning the filter at the bottom of the washer.
