Having problems with your Northstar Pressure Washer 3000 PSI ?

Foaming in pump oil window

\015 I have some 'foaming' of the pump oil in my 3000 psi Northstar pressure washer with a Comet pump.....Is there a rebuild kit, or a rebuild service available?\015\012\015\012Rick Franz\015

Answers :

I dont know which comet pump you have, but it is just easier to get a new pump from one of the pressure washer companies on the internet and they sell them on ebay. You can also probably get a better pump that will fit your engine as well. Also, have you tried just changing the oil and not fill it too full? On my 5000 lb washer, if i fill the oil too high when I change the oil, it will foam some. Hope this helps you, Rick

My Troy Bilt power washer (using Honda GCV160 engine) has no pressure coming from the pump. I checked the water flow, everything seems fine. I believe the pump needs oil added, however, I can't seem to firgure it out (how to add oil to the pump). I did notice that previously, I used to see drops of oil coming from under the pump. I I have a bad seal, can I add oil and test the pressure before I change the seal? Please advise.

I had a similar problem. Turns out I had left the hose disconnected and some sort of wasp built a paper type nest inside the washer tube that the hose connects to. I had to take the pump off and take apart and then cleaned it out with a screw driver. ... Honda Black Max 2600 PSI Pressure Washer

I temporarily misplaced (not lost for good) the owners manual for my honda pressure washer : engine and pump. I do not want to run my machine again until I verify the pump oil content/level. On the pump itself, at the top, there is a black, unscrewable oil cap, with blue-ish oil in it, BUT NO DIP STICK! How do I check the level? What kind of oil, specs etc? Thanks!

I have two questions and would greatly appreciate some help: - What oil to use in the pressure pump of a Ryobi Pressure Washer RY80030? - How much to put in? The pump model is MTP092150 from FAIP. As per the manufacturer, the oil is not to be changed or topped up by the end-user, I know, I know, but brought to a service center instead - I certainly don't want to do that, and there is none close to my place anyway. The reason I need this is that I had to take the pump apart and a
