It is easy to NOT get the connector attached properly. The O ring and the end MUST go into the connector a reasonable distance so that the retaining ring will have MANY threads engaged.

There are two hoses coming from my Bosch SHE45M06UC dishwasher. One is obviously the drain coming from the back of the unit, and the other is attached to the side looped and not connected to anything. I went online to the Bosch website for a installation manual and it describes this hose as a air venting hose. Does the end attach anywhere or does it just hang loose on the unit. My husband detached it from its original position and thought it was part of the water line. HELP!

The water is entering both the tub but also shooting out of 2 slits approx 1 1/2" each. located right below where u attach the hose.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What does a failed pressure switch look like? I have removed my pressure switch (part 8071024). It is clean without apparent damage. The point at which the small, black hose connects has a plastic "button" inside, which appears as if it should move but it does not move at all. Is it seized? I think my issue is very similar to issue "Dishwasher Flooding Out" article on your site from (Oct 2007). This is a very helpful site, and thank you for any input on this question.

I am replacing the drain hose on my LG Dishwasher LDS5811BB. The new hose they gave me has an additional piece connected onto the hose. I don't know what it is or what it is for. The original drain hose was composed soley of a gray hose with the to end connectectors. This new hose is similar with an additional white, hard plastic, U-shaped hose with a black hose extending off the end of the U-shaped end. Our GE model GSD4320Z00B is having a problem with the drain system. I've run the unit in the test mode and it does pump the dishwasher down. The problem is the unit does NOT pump down during a normal wash cycle. The fact that the unit works in test tells me it is not the pump. I've checked all the hoses and drain paths and there are no obstructions, again verified by the fact it works in test mode.
