Tricity Bendix DH090 water valve closes too early. Insufficient water causes program to stop before first heating cycle. If I switch off, open the machine & pour an extra pint of water in, shut the door & switch on again the wash takes place and completes perfectly to specification. OK so the problem seems to be that level detector No 1 switches off the water inlet valve early and level detector No 2 (apparently) halts the cycle since it detects insufficient water in the machine. I cannot see t

Hi can you help me please I have a Zanussi DX6453 dishwasher which has stopped working. KUDK01ILBS5), SN: FR2702809. Have used this machine 6 years and just recently experienced noise that I eventually traced down to a bad recirculation pump bearing that failed due to a small leak in the shaft seal. Installed a new pump on Friday, 4/21/10 and that particular noise is now quieted. While the bearing noise was gone, there remains a pumped water noise that is quieted by manually adding about 1/2 gallon of water within the machine. So I now believe the water level is low, possib

Hi our nemo dishwasher starts a cycle and fills but does not start cleaning cycle. Light under start button flashes. If start button is held on it resets and pumps out. We live in an area with high clacium in water. At first the machine only pumped out and did not start filling. I have cleaned the level sensor ( membrane switch filled with calcium) and it at least stopped pumping and started to fill. It does not proceed from here. I checked the level switch it seems to be working OK (NO and NC c

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

I have a problem with my Asko D3350 Dishwasher, can you help? Smeg DWF612WH dishwasher has developed a leak. Water comes out of the rectangular hole on the side of the water softner used to mount what looks like a level or pressure switch. A few seconds after the fill valve opens water leaks out, not a lot just a small trickle. After the washer has filled and goes ito its cycle, it does not leak again. Over the past weeks the problem has got progressively worse.

Hi I have a LG dishwasher, model LD-2052WH/LD-2052SH/LD-2052MH. The machine is about 30 months old, and used very seldom. In the last two weeks we noticed a very loud "grinding" sound emmiting from the machine. This sound usually happens when you switch the machine on as the water if filling or the wash blades are rotating. What is the cause of this, and how can I get it fixed? Normal wash cycle- tub fills (?), then comes a loud hummmm and nothing happens. I noticed water level didn't reach heater coil and added water until limiter switch clicked. Still just a loud hummmm. Machine was well into its regular cycle when this first occurred, but now, won't even get past initial fill. Pushing the "Cancel/drain" button activates motor and pump: they work fine.

In replacing the float that senses water level on a Hobart AM 14 dishwasher, I see that the whole assembly is free to rotate after the c-clip is reinstalled. Past experience is that sometimes this plastic float will be found upside-down, on top of the probe which houses the reed switch & thermistor temperature sensor. What's to keep the float from rotating like this? Nothing appears to be broken or missing on the assembly from what I can see. THANKS!!!.......Lee

Just past where the water inlet line connects to the Fl-48 Fagor there is some kind of thermal switch that is disconnected. I assume this has some kind of mechanical connection so that the line pressure does not blow it off. I do not see any kind of mechanical connection and there is no way to screw or fasten it down that I can tell. I got the machine used and don't have a parts list to see how it is supposed to be held on.

Noticed dishes on top shelf not entirely clean. Ran machine empty and opened many times during wash. Noticed that Lower Spray Arm works as expected, but Middle Spray Arm turns only 1/8 or less, then Lower Arm spins again. Schematic with Use and Care manual just says pump motor switches from one to the other in certain cycles, but I don't see this happening. Looked for obstructions to water flow and pressure seems normal. Is control for this function part of the pump, or in the control panel?
