Having problems with your Samsung DMR57LFS Stainless Steel Builtin Dishwasher ?

Dishwasher is a SAMSUNG - The ERROR message was E5, hose kik/drain issue. Even after removing and inspecting hose, plus flushing drain line, not fixed. It does drain through the hose with wetvac suction.

All the above are correct and will give you an 5E error on the Samsung DMR57LFS. Do this... fill up a small pot of warm water and dump it into the dishwasher (the sump will now have water in it). Turn your machines power on and look in the sink (the unit drains upon startup automatically). If you see bubbles in the drain or hear bubbling try this before tearing your machine apart or calling in a service tech, clear out your sink drain. If the sink drain is even "slightly" blocked it will cause water to remain in the unit's sump and display a 5E error. The unit allows for a certain amount of time to show empty, if not it will show an 5E error. It is a restriction, just not in the drain hose, it's in the sink drain. I just had this problem 10 minutes ago and noticed that the unit was draining but not enough. I'm in the business so I know what the discharge should look and sound like in the sink drain, it bubbled once and that was it. I ran warm water and plunged my sink drain. I started the dishwasher and the 5E error is gone. I also have a much better flowing sink drain. I can also hear the unit drain the way it first did when I installed it. The sink drain see's a lot of action and will build up quickly. Remember that this dishwasher does have a shredder in it (it's not fool proof and dinky) but it does break down some of the food. This unit is known for it's major issues and should have been recalled years ago but if your like me, Samsung should stick to smart phones and tablets.

My Miele G2430 dishwasher stops right after draining in the first minute or so after starting, and the intake and drain light comes on. The solenoid at the end of the intake hose then clicks and the light begins to flash. I applied suction to the intake hose to determine if the solenoid is working, and the valve does open and close. There has been no error code displayed. I cleaned all of the parts and filters referred to in the owner manual.

Bad smell This is more of a general question. When I run the dishwasher there is a bad smell as it fills with water. It comes out of the sink/garbage disposal.
