When I got that off, there was a circular black fan-type thing under it(the motor??), that spins around and seems to be held in place with only one screw. Can it be done without moving the dishwasher and just working from the kickplate area?

I think I need to check the water pump/motor on my Bosch SHU43C dishwasher. It seems the water enters at the start of the wash cycle but then there is silence through the remainder of the cycles. Water will not spray. The drain appears to work ok to drain most of the water out. I have the washer out and upside down. Any hints on removing the base to get access to the pump? Should AI be looking at the control panel also for a fault? (the cycles seem to count down ok)

I have a GE dishwasher with the following model number: GSD3230F00WW. Last night, while the dishwasher was in the clean cycle, a buzzing/grinding sound came from underneath the dishwasher. I removed the access panel to try to isolate the sound. It appeared to come from a solenoid that was connected to an arm that opened and closed something.
