\012\012I had this problem and fixed it tonight. When selecting a program water pumps into the machine, but with no drain i ended up with too much water and error code E6.

I traced the fault to a broken wire between the electronic module in the door and the pump. The point at which the door opens and closes on the cables had frayed the insulation and broken through the wire. As this was the live feed to the pump and a potential short from 240VAC to the chassis its dangerous!!

Repairing the wire break and re-insulating fixed the problem

Smeg Dishwasher Hello I have a smeg dishwasher - built in, push button. It has stopped working - the program start and you hear it drain but that's as far as it gets, no water appears to be getting in. A couple of times the last 2 program buttons flash or the rinse light is on when we open it. let me know if you have any thoughts on this - I'd really appreciate it. thanks Diane

Smeg e2 error (water level tripped). Filter is clean and no rubbish below filter on inside of dishwasher. I have taken the front panel off but am not sure where the float device is located - I am wondering if it is just to the left of what looks like a solenoid. There is no water in the base of the unit in the front panel so would rule out any leaks. Reset program and turned off power at socket but still not using hot water. Possible PCB issue ? Any advice appreciated. Smeg DI612C Dishwasher.

I have the E3 error on my Smeg DWI614 dishwasher which would indicate a heater error, however it is heating the water in the bottom of the machine but it seems to time out. The main issue seems to be that the recirc. pump is not running during the heating phase. I have taken the pump out, checked the connections etc. twice now and everything seems fine (the motor runs when tested). When I have done this (both times) the dishwasher has started again and run for 20+ cycles fine, then the issue com

A feew weeks ago Smeg STA6047 dishwasher stopped in the beginning of the programme after approx. ten minutes, and gave the error code E9. There had been clearly water in the machine, but maybe not enough and the detergent box was not open. However, when technician came by two weeks after, the dishwasher worked and he said it was in order. But only after being used only once, the same problem reappeared. First the washer gave the error code E8, on the second try E9. And now it does not start at a

As you know E9 is linked to the water inlet problem. \015\012\015\012There are two scenarios here - 1) Are you using the Aqua-Stop safety system? If this is trigerring then it can shut the inlet water. The reason it can trigger is if the ... Smeg Dishwashers

Installing a built-in LG dishwasher; got everything ready to go, but a problem with the hot water line coming in. It is barely long enough to reach to the front where I've installed the elbow. Since I have to back the dishwasher in to the 24 in. hole there is no room for error in terms of not running over this hose with the bottom of the dishwasher. Any tricks to handling this situation?

Hi, best way would be to install a "spring" attached to the back of the dishwasher. The hose would connect to that and easily "pull-away" when moving or "pull-tight" taking up the slack. A much simpler method is to tie a piece of string to the hot wa ... Kenmore 24 in. 17482 / 17484 / 17489 Built-in Dishwasher
