Often times the dishwasher drain hose is not installed properly. It must be routed up as high as the dishwasher as soon as it comes out of the unit. May be also that there was a little regular soap or something that made it sudds up. vegetable oil poured into the dw tub will remove the sudds. After running vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, pour 2 cups of vinegar in to the tub and run it on the hottest longest cycle with no dishes in it. This will clean the residue out and what ever "gunk" may be in the internal parts. Use Only powder detergent. No gel and No tabs. These 2 cause a build-up over a period of time of use and reduce the performance of your machine.

Kitchenaid dishwasher - small pieces of food are left on otherwise clean dishes. Water level comes to about 1 inch below heater coil. I ran it without dishes (or soap) and added about a quart of water so that level came to about 1/4 inch below heater and that's when I noticed food pieces on drain surfaces (nylon filter under bottom spray arm unit and circular plastic "trap" surrounding it). Spray arms holes are clear and water is hot.

It sounds as if you figured the solution out. The holes in the spray arm(s) get plugged by small debris, (tooth picks, seeds, bits of plastic like candy wrappers, etc) and the water does not reach the dishes to wash and rinse effective ... Dishwashers

Dishwasher drain is hooked to a food disposer and until recently the unit worked fine. Last week following a cycle a couple of inches of water did not drain out. All food is removed from dishes, silverware, etc. prior to loading and the food trap in the bottom is completely clear. I ran the unit empty through a Lightwash cycle and afterwards the water level (that which didn't drain out) looked to be the same as before. The dishwasher is run 2-3 times weekly whereas the food disposal is

My Samsung DMR77LHS dishwasher has lost power completely near the end of a cycle. About an inch of water remains. I have power to the unit. I checked the 15 amp fuse in the unit - it had blown. I replaced it, but still no luck. The fuse is not blowing, but there is no power to panel. Nothing happens when you hit the power button - no lights or anything. Unit acts as if ther is no power at all. I have seen similar posts. Any thoughts?

Hello, I had a problem with my Bosch dishwasher not washing properly. I have fixed burnt out wires, replaced the water inlet valve, AND tested with a new control module. Nothing is helping. When I start the cycle, it completes the initial drain and water does flow into the unit for about a minute, maybe a minute and a half. I can hear the clicking of cycle changes but it is not washing. Eventually it will drain the inch or so of water in the bottom, but it never washes. Any help???

Lost Power We always run the unit before bed on the delay timer. I heard it kick on last night. When we woke up this morning I first noticed that the clean light wasn't on. Then I noticed that the dishes were still very damp. Lastly it has about a inch of water laying in the bottom of it. It appears that it just lost power during the cycle. Water allowed to drain out the front base area. Unit re-assembled but now does not switch on. Water connected. Base-plate dry. No water was detected at upper-front control panel. Maytag Dishwasher I would like to know the proper water level after DW fills. Older Whirlpool units a quick guide was when water just covered heater. I have a new D/W and the water supply is difficult to access, there is a kink in the water line slowing the water flow. The D/W fills to bottom of heater, but because the unit is so quiet I can't determine if it is timing out or working properly. I intend to repair water line when counter work is done. Thanks for any help Gary

We used our LG diswasher to clean our grill grates, which was a bad idea, because now the unit will not clean the dishes. We cleared the washer arms of debris, but the unit still is leaving the dishes on both racks dirty and is leaving the liquid soap dispensed into the unit undissolved on the door of the unit. There are no kinks in the water inlet, and water is getting into the unit, but the dishes are not getting cleaned.
