I own a GE Profile Built-in Dishwasher Model number is PDW7880G00SS, Serial number is FF7872828.  We have recently been having major cleaning issues with it, especially the top shelf i.e. the glasses.  There is always dried up debris on them.  We always run the water hot and run it on "added heat" cycle.  I was wondering if there is a filter, or an area in the dishwasher that needs to be cleaned out?  Even if I put perfectly clean dishes in there, they will come out dirty, which leads me to thin

The glassware is not being cleaned well. It is often covered in dried food particles - especially if the dishes are not totally rinsed off prior to running the dishwasher. It was much better at cleaning dishes when it was newer. Is there a strainer that needs to be cleaned out?

We bought model KUDS02FR in Nov. 2005. The last few months we have had a residue on many of our dishes, esp. plates and bowls, when we unload the dishwasher. We've been double-checking the detergent dispenser, Jet Dry, and the way we load the machine. We have rewashed dishes, but it doesn't seem to have solved the problem. I cannot find a trouble-shooting guide in the Consumer Reference Guide, only information on loading and guides to the various racks. We have hard water and use both dispensers

Dishwasher fills tub continuously until float turns it off whether in cyle, during drying or after cyle complete. That means during drying when the dishwasher is trying to dry the dishes the tub fills up preventing drying. This is a new dishwasher that I've never used. I allways noticed the tub was full of water, but thought that was just to keep the seals moist so they don't rot. I've been in my house 5 years and only hand washed my dishes because it was more convienient. Now that there ar

My Maytag Quiet Series 300 is not cleaning my dishes very well at all. My glasses always have grit left in them (even with Jet Dry), my coffee mugs have film left in the bottom of them and now even my plates and bowls aren't getting clean. I don't even put my pots or pans in there, so I'm not sure where the grit is even coming from. We have city water and I use a powder to clean with. Our 16 year old dishwasher takes way longer to finish cycles, has become very loud and now no longer cleans the dishes - especially the top rack and the silverware. We have hard water and I have run it with vinegar in a bowl 3 times and have been cleaning all the deposits I can today. It doesn't seem to be draining out all the gunk. My dishwasher is leaving a film on all the dishes some of the times. Other times the appliance works fine but more and more often it is leaving a white film on all the dishes as though the rinse cycle is not working well.
