Having problems with your Westinghouse Dishwashers ?

Me and my partner just bought a new house and yesterday we tried the dishwasher for the first time. I'm not sure which model we have, but it is a white Westinghouse Dishwasher with 5 wash options. The problem we have is that there seems to be water leaking from the bottom of the dishwasher at the front (sort of where the door is attached to the dishwasher). Do you know what we can do about this?

Answers :

If the dishwasher has been setting for a long time the seals in the pump could of dryed out. Go ahead and run the dishwasher again and it could seal itself back up if not..... you will need to call a repairman to replace the seals. Or buy a new dishwasher if the unit has some age on it. You will get a new warranty..... I would also tell your realitor about it and maybe she could help you. The appliance may have a 30 warranty with the purchase of the house.......Hope this helps...

Water seems to be leaking into the dishwasher at the end of the cycle the water appears to be clean, so I am wondering about a seal of some kind on the hot water line leaking or whatever. It is a Bosch Dishwasher SHU series 3200 My problem is the same. Water leaks in to bottom of dishwasher over about a 2-3 day period. The dishwasher runs fine. It does not ever run over. The water seems to stop entering the dishwasher after it reaches a certain level.

You have a bad water valve. When the unit is off, the valve should seal and the water should not flow. Something has gotten in the valve and is keeping the needle up or the diaphram in the valve has deteriorated. replace the water valve and you wil ... Dishwashers

Dishwasher leaking Our dishwasher all of a sudden started leaking. I've taken the front panel off the door and can see exactly where. It's not a hole or anything...it's at the front, left edge of the basin, the bottom left corner at the front. It seems that right after it fills with water, it starts to leak once water is moving around inside and washing cycle starts. It is as if big waves are being pushed to the front left corner and over the lip of the basin. I don't think the water level is to

FDW60 dishwasher Hi My dishwasher is about 15 months old and the problem I have is that it seems to stay on pump and the Ecco45 light is flashing.  A repair company looked at the machine and said that the motor looked like it was leaking and water was getting in the bottom setting off the micro-switch.  He contacted Hotpoint who fitted a new motor today at a cost of £89.85.  Went to use dishwasher tonight and we still have the same problem.  The dishwasher started the washing programme for about

Hello, my Hoover D7610 dishwasher has developed a problem, I would appreciate your advice. On starting a wash it appears to be working OK through what I believe to be a rinse cycle but then after about 20 minutes water pours out from the bottom of the door. Manually clicking the timer-programer forward stops the leaking but the machine needs manual advancement except for the last 2 cycles when the timer seems to work OK. After the 1st cycle there is no more water leaking from the machine but all

My trusty Bosch s510 Dishwasher which has been going strong for about 17 years (at least) has just decided not to empty itself. I noticed the bottom was full of water after a wash. I emptied all the water out by hand and presuming there is a blockage in the drain tried using a plunger to unblock it. I have since put it through another cycle and half way through water started leaking out of the front. At the end of the cycle the bottom of the dishwasher was again full of hot 'soapy' water. Water leak have the Ge triton dishwasher (Model # GSD5320D02BB, bought it n 2001) and currently have very small amount of water leaking out of the door during a run cycle. I did check levels when running and that seems to be fine......meaning the dishwasher is level and not an over-flow problem. My next thought is maybe it is a faulty door gasket. So my question is, where is the door gasket located and how do I replace it? (and where do I order this part from?). Looked for diagrams to follow and

Our KitchenAid KUDS011JBS1 dishwasher sometimes leaks water on our kitchen floor. It seems to drip from the bottom edge of the door onto the floor. It's not a huge amount of water, but is enough to be a concern... it leaves a small puddle on the floor. What should I check and how do I fix this? I'm hoping it's an inexpensive and easy fix. Note that we've had this dishwasher for 8 years and have only noticed leaking during the past 6 months.

I have an Asko DW1875 dishwasher (10yrs old) which has just recently started having problems. We are having a small leak near the front valve or hose connection in our Kenmore dishwashers. This tends to happen when we are out of town and have turned the household water off. The dishwashers also has water in the bottom when we return. We have tried to set up the situation to make it leak in order to find it, but have not been successful. Have there been similar complants?
