Dishwasher runs for appx 14 min & stops washing half way thru wash cycle. Timer contunies to run. No drain pump out (nothing). Let dishwasher set idle for appx 1 hour and it will re-set. Set timer forward to end of wash cycle and it will complete rinse and final rinse. Then go to dry. Timer works ok.

This sounds like something is stuck in the drain pump. You can remove the inner cover to look for obstructions. You have a dual purpose motor it does the both circulating and draining. The blockage is causing it to overheat and trip the thermal prote ... Whirlpool DU840CWD Dishwasher

When you open the washer it will have water in it that has not pumper out. It seems that the light wash cycle will work after trying the regular or heavy wash. The lid to the soap compartment for the second soaping no longer opens. How can I fix this? It will no longer start a heavy duty or pots and pans wash. When I tried to run a pots and pans wash, water leaked out from the door. This has never happened on any other wash cycle. This isn't a really old dishwasher. Only about 8 years old.

Our 16 year old dishwasher takes way longer to finish cycles, has become very loud and now no longer cleans the dishes - especially the top rack and the silverware. We have hard water and I have run it with vinegar in a bowl 3 times and have been cleaning all the deposits I can today. It doesn't seem to be draining out all the gunk. Water flow seems ok, the arms have nothing blocking them. Any instructions for me to follow to clean out the mechanisms? Or has it run its lifespan... Thanks!

Parts are no longer available for your dishwasher. Typically - manufactures end support after 10 years.Your hard water deposits will never come all the way out. They will be "clean" for a month or so until another calcium chunk breaks free and ... Dishwashers

I have a bosch SHE58C dishwasher. The cycles all work, it fills so the water line is ok, it washes, and it drains so it is not clogged. I cleaned out the sump and it is all clear. However, I think the "brain" or control module is bad. When I try to run a cycle, it does not fill. One other note is that it continues to run when the door is open. Is there a way to reset the "brain"? I've tried killing the circuit breaker

I have a similar problem with my SHE55M15UC model. I bought it last week and I had to push and hold the cancel button before it would start another cycle. I have a Bosch SMU2046UC/14 dishwasher that makes some noise but will not start the wash cycle. I found that the noise was from the timer motor by removing the front of the door. The timer continues to run and but only advances until half way through the wash cycle where it stops permanently. Is this a problem with the timer or could something else be causing this problem.

Hi - I have tried all the usual tricks of running an empty load with vinegar, and the food particle filter seems to be the kind that isn't removable. Whenever I run a load, there is enough left over particles on the dishes - especially the top shelf, that I either have to wash all the glasses by hand, or run at least one more cycle. I have a standard size hotpoint built-in dishwasher. Please let me know if there is a way to clean the filter, or an alternative method so that the dishes are a

Kenmore Elite Stainless Steel 24 inch tall Model 66577963K701. The heating element works for "heated dry" but not for "Hi Temperature" wash. We have a Frigidaire Gallery Series dishwasher we just purchased in August. Model #GLD2445RFB2. We are experiencing a problem with it. We noticed it started running louder then normal and now it will not finish a wash cycle. It gets half way through and PF lights up on the display and the cycle never finishes. It doesn't matter which cycle we choose it has done it on all of them.

Our GE dishwasher (5 yrs old, Model GLD4250L00CS) only fills with water half way when the unit is started. The inlet valve was replaced with a new one, but that did not solve the problem. When started, the dishwasher fill cycle runs for 41 seconds before the wash cycle begins. Repair workers told us we probably need a new ECU (Electronic Computer Unit). My questions are: Is 41 seconds the correct time for the fill cycle for our model? What else could be the reason for the unit not filling pr

Cranky dishwasher I have to admit my wife's solution is the only one that works. Our ten-year-old Superba built-in usually starts a normal cycle part-way through, at the wash part, without filling or opening the dispenser door. Therefore the dishes come out with the soil now baked on. Closing the door, selecting normal and start results in a pump-out sound, or at least just the pump running to wash the dishes. The dishwasher ignores any cancel button push, and the light does not come on over t

We can't find our owner's manual. We bought a Siemens dishwasher in 2003. We just interrupted the drying cycle and now the dishwasher won't close all the way and the LED display is off, but if we push the on/off button, it starts a new wash cycle. We don't want to let it run because we're afraid of flooding. Advice?

I have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher (model 665.1315), and the dishwasher will run through the wash cycle as expected, but when it gets to the heated dry cycle , it doesn't appear to dry. It will then flash a fault code 81 (8 short flashes of the 'clean' light, pause, and then 1 more short flash of the 'clean' light, longer pause, and repeat the code). The dishes seem to be somewhat dry, but there is certainly water on the dishes and on the tub (there is never any water standing in the tub, and t

My soap cap remains in the closed position at all times. The clasp mechanism works fine, if I cycle through with the door open I can see and hear the catch release when it should. But the door remains closed at all times. I leave it open to run, and sometimes it's closed when the wash cycle finishes! Is there an easy way to take the cap off and clean it? Or do I need to WD-40 around it?

My D3112 Asko dishwasher controls will not respond. There is a pump or motor running non-stop, even after I push the power off buton. The only way to make it stop is to unplug power cord. We just purchased a used Fisher and Paykel DS 603-i. After installing and running the normal cycle there was a lot of water left on the bottom of each drawer. We ran the bottom drawer (water stil siiting on the bottom of the top drawer) and part way through the main wash cycle we got what I think was a F1 error code (we do not have the LCD version but the Rinse light was activated). I took out the bottom drawer, dried out the basin and then took out the washer and reattached the drainage pipes t
